Castform and gang

What in the blue heck d'yall mean by Hazers? Sweepers? Gah! I don't know any of youse guys' terminologies?

Anyway, for Castform, I like to think that Weather Ball, Hail, Sunny Day, and Rain Dance isa good moveset, although untested. I should test it someday.

I'm with u 100% Porygon. Frostweaver haz some messed up strategy dat i find completely useless. R u like me and just resort to brute force? I'll let them confuse themselves while i kick some good old a$$.

Just try NetBattle or go in a competition. Then, you might appreciate Frostweaver's input.

Time 2 get back on track. No hard feelings, ne1. I started a new file and really need help. Yes, i sharked my guys so i could catch 'em early and have all game to train them. Here's wat i have so far:

Charmander
Scratch
Growl
Ember

Wynaut
Crunch
Psychic
Ice Beam
Shadow Ball
(I no his moves r hacked, but with the moveset they give him he is completely useless)

Metagross
Confusion
Metal Claw
Scary Face
Take Down

Vibrava
Bite
Sand-Attack
Faint Attack
Sand Tomb

Huntail
Whirlpool

and
Anorith
Scratch
Harden

I wanted to put a Seviper in, should i? If so, who should he replace? Would u pick Crobat over Seviper? And should i use Huntail or Sharpedo?

I'm strategic, but I incorporate force into it. Typically, I don't have any nondamaging moves, though, unless they're good, as in create a strategic advantage against the foe like reducing damage dealt or preventing them from attacking altogether. Often, I'll put high defense over high attack [if you can last longer than they can, you're set].

Also, I like varied elements of attacks; only one or two types of attack, for me, is no good.

Crobat is better than Seviper in my opinion. I use this move-set for my Crobat:

Crobat @ Leftovers [PhAt+ SpAt-]
Fly
Mean Look
Confuse Ray
Screech

Amen. Some1 like me. I am EXACTLY the same. Almost no non-damaging moves, force incorperated into strategy, welcome to the club. Unfortunately, ur the only person i found that shares our strategy. O well.

Haha, lol. I should post movesets and Pok?mon sometime?

Can someone tell me what in the heck you mean by sweepers, hazers, and all that other terminology I have absolutely no idea as to what it means?

Don't ask. U'll live a better life if u don't know.

No I won't. I don't like not knowing what people are saying.

Hazers use Haze. They are used to counter monsters that use Double Team, Dragon Dance, Swords Dance, Clam Mind, et cetera, making their previous use ineffective.

Sweepers quickly make the other team's monster's faint. They need high Speed and high Physical/Special Attack.

Sweeper Alakazam @ Lum Berry {Spd+ PhAt-} [SpAt+252 Spd+252 HP+6]
- Psychic
- Fire Punch
- Ice Punch
- Protect

I stick Protect on to counter Slaking.

Check the link in my signature... I believe I included those terminologies in the guide. For Alakazam, I personally will switch protect for substitute, and use petaya berry to help sweeping power. Also, sub grants protection from status which is helpful for a fast Pokemon like Alakazam. Only Jolteon and Crobat can successfully use a status move on you really for a speed + Alakazam.

Using "only damaging moves" kill severely kill you... Thy name is Umbreon + Ninjask + Marowak = you are so dead.

How can dat kill me? Umbreon+Ninjask+Marowak?

If you're fully sweeping, then surely you got no way to kill Umbreon unless your name is Sheer Cold, or an ubar. Otherwise, mean look, the double team up. Rest if necessary to remove toxic/status/restore hp. Keep buffing double team. Baton pass to Ninjask. Use a sub (have fun hitting), and dance up. Pass to a Marowak holding the bone.

Marowak if the chain ever succeeds, have 6+ evasion, 1 "extra hit" (sub), pseudohaze near-immunity, 1200+ attack power and speed in the 700s. Fun fun fun? Only Weezing has a chance to survive this, or Crobat with haze -_- (but then according to your first definition, you won't have haze because it does no damage ;p)

This will never work on netbattle, but it's a good way to punish your friends who say 'screw swords dance get slash on your [censor] Ninjask already!'

wow. i'm gonna check out that team building guide. I have no idea wat u were just talkin bout, but it sounds like trouble 4 me. Ne way, my friends suck-they have less strategy than me-which is pretty sad. They think HM moves r powerful! I do have 1 secret weapon against snorlax - my anti-snorlax Mew. He knows Dream Eater (rests worst nitemare), brick break, psychic, and ice beam. I may replace ice beam w/ toxic, and i'd like 2 c ne1 w/ rest stand up 2 dat.

actually, Snorlax is super tank in terms of special defense... Snorlax is a lot more messed if your Mew packed swords dance. Try to modify your mew with swords dance/brick break/shadowball/psychic or something along that line... But I don't like Pokemon with THAT flexibility...

forget shadow ball -this is the Mew i only use for Snorlax. ur probably right about swords dance, though. nightmare takes away a quarter of a sleepers HP each turn. Hmmmmmm.......... rest = 3 turns = 3/4 of HP gone. I keep doin dat (if u keep usin rest) until u run out of PP, and then brick break, and bye bye snorlax.

EDIT: i have a mewfor a lot of occasions. Go figure lol

Shadowball is used because such thing as Shedinja exist. Without it, Mew would be dead... and Mew cannot learn nightmare, but as if that matters.

Wonders of Snorlax do not lie in rest, but its high special defense and attack power. If it rests, it will either...

a) run to blissey to heal bell

b) run to something that is strong against your current Pokemon, as no Pokemon has no weakness. Even Deoxys FR is weak to any quick attackers/extremespeeders, Kyogre is weak to toxic-using Lapras/Vaporeon or Quagsire, and so on.

Either way, it's foolish to make one Pokemon of your party only to fight ONE pokemon. Even though Snorlax is one of the OU, it's the uncommons out of the OU rank. If the opponent doesn't have a Snorlax, then what? That's why you still pack moves like Shadowball, or any other moves that fit your purpose so your Pokemon can handle as much as it can handle.

well, i hav 1 friend who is a absolute idiot and ONLY uses his Snorlax. He thinks its soooooo tough and even though i hav beat hime EVERY time w/ anti-snorlax Mew, he still says 1 day he will beat that Mew. He's an idiot. But dats da only one Poke strong guy i hav. And Kygore is weak 2 my toxic using Oddish, 2. don't underestimate my Oddish.
