    Does castform change its type when it changes form? I used surf on the Raindrop one and it said it was not very effective.

    Anyways, I was also wondering if Weather Ball changed types too >>; So:

    Weather: Hail
    Base Damage: 100
    Type: Ice

    Would that be corret? Because it would variatably smash most moves regarded as top for their type. Ice beam, Rock slide, Surf, Flamethrower, etc.

    Just wondering >>;

    When Castform transforms in the different weather, whatever type that attack is that started the weather that is what castform becomes (either Fire (Sunny Day) Ice (Hail) and Water (Rain Dance). Also, whatever type your castform is. that is what type of weather comes out of weather ball. Weaknesses count, so if castform uses Rain Dance and Someone uses lets say Shock wave, it would be super effective. If i remember correctly, I don't think that castform does not transform in a sandstorm.

    But then the base damaged would be doubled because of the weather affects, so it really would have a base of 100?

    Unless hail is the weather, which does NOT power up ice.

    But weatherball's type would still be ice...

    :P

    so it'd be better than ice beam ^^ I think I'll train my Casty up for teh E4 now =3 Thanks for the info guys!

    Yes, castform changes it's type according to the weather, but beware, cause it won't change to the rock/ground type in a Sandstorm so that will inflict it's HP. Though Weatherball's attack type changes to the rock type in a Sandstorm as well as to fire, ice, water according to the weather. It's quite a useful and powerful attack.
