    I thought I'd post my question here since there's no Simple Question's thread anymore. :)

    I've been pondering how to handle trade evolutions in my hack, and I thought one option could be to "force evolve" a Pokemon, per se. By this I mean changing the Player's Pokemon into another species but retaining it's EVs, IVs, nickname etc. Would this be possible, and how feasible is this? Thanks. :)

    Also, as to why can't I just make an item act as an Evolution Stone, this was my first idea but I thought the above would be more professional AND could be applied to forme changes like Rotom too. ^^
