    Hello there.

I have a little ROM hacking project and I'm having some trouble. I am trying to edit Pokémon FireRed and the ROM hack is not about Pokémon. I want to change the battle menu. In fact, the only problem is the POKéMON option. Can I change it? If yes, how?
Your helps are much appreciated ^^

Well, I simply tried to change the text "RUN" (with AdvanceText) and changed nearly everything includes "RUN" but no luck.

The way the text is stored is a little odd compared to a lot of other strings in the ROM (lots of special data around it) so Advanced Text will have a tough time finding it. You're better off using a hex editor for this one.

Since I had a bit of time I found where all the relevant text starts for you. The strings you want to edit begin at 0x3FE725. I seriously recommend not using Advanced Text as there are a lot of special text commands (such as adding specific colors and shadows) that will probably be messed up by Advanced Text.

Are there any hex editors for just Pokémon? I found one but I can't find the string you gave.

EDIT : I learnt it with the hard way. Dug down the entire game with TileMolester, no luck...
