Character Hate, a PokeSpecial Ranting Thread

It's good to know other people hate him, too. ^^ The sad thing is, I love the GSC rival. I just think they ruined him in PokeSpecial.

My opinion:
My sweet side^_^
Aww..don't be so cruel.I think that the two are fine.It wouldn't be a cool manga if everyone was a good guy.Silver is sweet to Blue,and so he has a soft spot.Blue's spunky,yet she cares about people.

My sour side:

Unlike the two I stated,Lance is a real jerk in the manga(he's cute though)
He wants to destroy the world for the safety of Pokemon?!He doesn't make any sense.He'll kill Clair too?Cuz if one hand on her and he's gonna be seeing Sirius and the big dipper>.<(I mean it!)

I'm not that evil.Of course,I feel left out of my family as well.They are usually the ones -not trusting me(I hate it when I get all serious...)
Lance I personally think is nicer in the anime and game.

Blue and Silver are not that bad like I said(I must be the only one in this thread that likes them :'(

Emerald,I have to say,is pretty idiotic looking.I mean,look at the hair?!
Even my friend Suzy has better hair than that.

I personally DISLIKE Red(dodges flames and tomatoes), because he is a gary stu in my opinion. Most powerful trainer of the main characters, has a heart of gold, and other Stu-like characteristics. Also, I dislike Lance/Wataru as well, although he has good intentions(saving Pokemon from pollutions and that stuff), in my opinion, he went too far and his plan was too unrealistic. Also, I think both Wataru and Red are clitche characters(heroic hero((redundent(((sp?))))) and 'villian' with some 'tragic' reason to do the 'wrong'((right and wrong is in the eye of the beholder)) thing).

Well, I don't really dislike Red too much, but however, WATARU, I really dislike for as he is a hypocrite. He wants to elimate humans but HE IS HUMAN, hem, sorry for the caps but I need to stress that fact. If he is to elimate mankind, he should go commit suicide or something, that would contribute to his efforts and he would show his passion(for this exterminate mankind thing). And also, his clothes are made of artifical materials, if he is to exterminate mankind because of pollution and stuff, he should wear more 'natural' clothes like Sapphire(the grass/leaf skirt*cough* except pants in his case) so he doesn't appear as well, hypocritic as he is now.

There's my 2 cents and let this be known, I am not trying to troll or flame people, this is just my opinion. I repeat, I AM NOT TRYING TO OFFEND PEOPLE BECAUSE OF THEIR PREFERENCES. Sorry for the caps again by the way.

No wonder i hate him,well,i hate him for other reasons,but still.The GSC rival is better than him in everyway.If i think of GSC Rival and Silver,i see 3
red headed rivals from GSC that splited into 3 and keep himself together.

First: One of them has to be the most powerful, by definition. Second: Why do people think that being a nice and good person is a Stuish/Suish trait? Should we all run around being mean?

Okay, then. I get to say; "Wataru-sama cares about his Pokemon, so he has a "sweet side"". If you were listening, I told you that's one of the MAIN reasons why I hate Silver. He only cares about Blue. There are other people in the world.

It makes more sense to me than committing your whole life to getting revenge on some "Mask of Ice" who "ruined his childhood". A.K.A. Blue and Silver.

Same as above. He was sad and lost, and he was doing what he thought was right.

He is human. However, his goal is much less selfish than Seiki's and and Mash of Ice's.

Actually, Wataru wanted to stay alive so he could help his Pokemon (and others) rebuild their City. So, yeah...

Stu, stew, anything. What you term as "Stu" is, to my understanding, a popular sterotype of a particular character "Class" of characters. Like someone having an awkwardly large mount of kindness, or an infinite sea of innocence, perhaps an anti-hero with nothing better to do but to wreak havoc, meet up with a good guy, and get coverted, saving the world -which was mysteriously dying or being invaded by aliens, or maybe in danger of being torn apart by a maniacal scientest's work- in the process, Am I right? Good.


Then in this case, ponder, how would YOU go about it? How can a world be in danger -and therefore create the setting for an epic- when all if its citizens are law-abiding, "Normal" people?

I agree that is a mean thing to say. I dissagree with the fact that Ketsuban called you a jerk, but if you like pokemon contests that does not make you sissy. Even is he was, so what. He is a nice person that does well with pokemon. You have no real reason not to like Ruby.

I don't think Contests define your gender, not every male has to be the best fighter and prove their strength, look at Wally. He is more contest vibe anyway. Shakes head. It's the same of people with pet shows, doesn't define them as men/women, just their strength as Trainers but it's not the point. Anyway.

I rather didn't care for the intital Lance characterization, he prances and preems and wishes...he wasn't human and just acted a left wing loon. I don't care for that hypocrisy and ego. He is the Champion, he should know better than go to this extreme route. Although the future issues undo that but...why didn't they go that route instead of undoing one of the more distinctive characters of the saga?

Also, didn't care for Lorelei, she was the smartest and visually interesting (nothing like the anime with her...bustline) but she had nothing to make her distinctive (Lance had his eco-terrorism, Agatha, revenge, Bruno, brainwashed), she was just there.

That just bugs me to death considering they're quite good at using anciliary characters (Misty and Sabrina) nicely.

Wow, our likeness are much different. Silver is my favorite character! I like evilish people (though Silver isn't pure evil cause just look at him ripping apart (Neo)team rocket). He actually has reason for his bad attitude, he just doesn?t waltz in there with freaky hair+clothes pointing a kiddy gun at everyone. Now that?s evil. :badsmile: I also like silver cause of all his dark types (one of my favorite types), and his cold heart, and all the hate against his father, the list gos on and on. HOW CAN YOU HATE SILVER!? HE PAWNS ALL!!! *Gets killed by thousands of tomatos being shot at him* Well, aleast we agree that all the battle frontier people suck right?
