Character Names

I have an idea for a fan-fic, but I need to make sure these names and their meanings are alright. There are three main charaters, whose names are:

Haigara - Male Houndoom - Means 'Ashes'

Amaya - Girl - Means 'Night Rain'

Haru - Boy - Means 'Sunshine'

The names are fine, you shouldn't worry about whether or not other people will like your characters names.

But, there is one thing you should know. Unless you are in an area native to these names, I would recommend using English names. Sadly, so many people have used Oriental names (mainly Japanese [don't know if that is what yours are]) making them very cliched.

Not to mention (no offense) the meanings for the names also are cliched.

If you really must use names such as this, I would recommend the meanings be something like a character trait or perhaps something important to that characters history (great foreshadowing chance there.)

So yeah... Just do what you feel is right.
