Tim Burton has directed a Movie from the Story Charlie and the Chocolate factory, yes there was another movie before (personally one of my favourite movies ever), Im so excited, Tim Burton is my inspiration for life, he is my god, I see everyone of his movies and when a new one comes out I just have a complete fit!!

Burton's next film has finished production and will be released soon. Rather than being a remake of the 1971 Gene Wilder film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Burton's movie will reportedly be a more faithful adaptation of Dahl's novel.

I'm so excited, as well. I loooove the book and the original movie. Though this one wont be as good, it's still a remake of the greatest thing ever to be thought of. I might see it tomorrow.

The first movie was simply amazing, Im not looking for Timmy B to beat it, for it is impossible, its just nice to see another version of the Book on the big screen, especially when its being directed by the greatest man alive in my opinion.

I've been waiting for this movie for 1 year and a half now...

I loved the old oompa loompas, I like them more than the new ones.

If this film wasn't directed by Tim Burton I would be so against the idea of it, because anyone other than Tim Burton would destory the book,
but I know Tim Burtons done great on it.

I hated Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with all my hearts. The book was much darker than the film made it out to be, and that spoilt it for me. Roald Dahl himself hated the film, and didn't want another director to ruin his book. It was only when his wife saw the script (since he died in 1990) that she decided to pursue it. After 25+ years of rejecting, this must be a pretty good adaptation of it.

To me, Johnny Depp is perfect for Willy Wonka. I can't say I'll be overwhelmed by his performance, but it's certainly better than having, say, Brad Pitt take the role or something. Depp's quirky charisma and charm are just the characteristics that Willy Wonka needs to have.

I might go watch it. I didn't like the original movie, but we did a play on it and I liked the play.

I'm seeing it tomorrow. wOOt! I can't wait. Tim Burton is a great director. Johnny Depp is a great actor. Both of them together is just overwhelming. (Edward Scissorhands, anyone?)

I must admit I've only seen certain parts of the original film and never read the book. Although I think I shall rent the old movie and read the book...
