charmander's original trainer reminds me of that new fellow. i think his name is paul.
when charmander evolved, he showed the results of damian's abuse/neglect. charmeleon and charizard never obeyed, he burned him, he slept when he was called on, etc etc. but then he started liking ash later on. i forgot at waht point.
