Hello pals! I am back with yet another playthrough. This time I will be adventuring in the land of Hoenn. I am replaying Omega Ruby! I have not played these games in a while so this should be a refreshing journey of using some Pokemon that I have not used in a long time(or ever!) I will be naming them after friends in a discord server.
Anyways, we start our journey out as we normally would. Professor Birch needs saving from a level 2 Poochyena. You'd think he could handle this himself. I literally just finished unpacking from the move and I have to save him already. We do so and he let's us keep the Mudkip we used to save him. Unfortunately for Mudkip though he will not be making an appearance on our team. After we save the professor we fight his daughter, May, and then he awards us with a Pokedex. Our adventure has really begun now.
We head to route 2 and that is where we meet the first official member of our team, Poochyena. We named the little pup Seth and continue on. Seth gets some good training in on our way to Petalburgh Woods where we run into a cute little Silcoon. We decide to add this Pokemon to our team because using a Beautifly sounds pretty fun. Welcome to the team, Noa! We move Noa to the start of our party for some training and continue on...
We last left off when we were in Petalburgh Woods and had just added Noa to our team. After that we proceeded on to the Town and took on the first Gym. Noa had already evolved into a Beautifly but a Rock typed Gym was pretty daunting for her. She learned Absorb along the way which helped with the trainers but not so much with Roxanne. She was quickly KO'd by a Rock Tomb. However Seth was able to come in and clean up. After getting our badge and Rock Tomb TM we managed to save the Devon Parts and were given a mission by Mr. Stone himself. This meant it was time to head to Dewford!
We beat Brawly's gym very easily once we arrived in Dewford. Beautifly completely walled his gym and ran through it with Gust. After taking him down we made our way to the cave and met with Steven and learned a bit about some history. We then leave the cave and make our way to Slateport. There isn't too much to do here but Team Magma seems to be up to something....We better watch out. We then decide to head north to Mauville because that is where our next gym is. On the way we take down our rival, May, which gives us a good feeling that we are ready for Wattson. Seth also evolved after this! Once we arrive we immediately go to his gym and take him down. This proved to be a bit of a challenge due to Beautifly not being really useful here but Seth the Mightyena managed to get a clutch Quick Feet boost which allowed us to win! Time to move on!
After defeating Wattson we decide to do a little backtracking and hunt for a new team member. We eventually end back up in Granite Cave and start our search there because there are really cool Pokemon in that place that could fit well in our team. After a nice long search we find a wild Nosepass! We quickly capture it and name her Aurora. She is already fitting right in. We now start heading to Fallarbor Town!
We last left off heading to Fallarbor Town. Once we arrived there we were obligated to help a scientist in need that had been taken hostage by Team Magma. Turns out they only wanted a Meteorite which we ended back up with after taking them down! We then proceeded on to Lavaridge and took down Flannery with ease. Aurora put in good work in her gym due to her resistances to fire. After we left the gym we made our way to the sandy desert and caught ourselves Syn the Trapinch. After a little training we arrived back in Petalburgh where we took down our dad for our 5th gym badge!
Gonna keep this one short because not a whole lot has really happened but it kinda has? Aurora evolved at New Mauville before we started heading to Fortree City and right outside the place we managed to grab a Wailmer. Welcome to the team, Lala. During our trek to the city in the trees we once again found Team Magma up to no good and put a stop to their plans. For now. We continued on to Fortree and ended up taking down Winona as soon as we got there. What an easy gym for this team! Syn also managed to evolve after the gym battle!

We made quite a lot of progress since our last update despite not defeating any more gyms. We took an adventure to Mt. Pyre to see what Team Magma was doing up there, catching a Chimecho along the way. We also took down all the trainers on a few of the surrounding routes which resulted in good training for the entire team, leading to Syn and Lala evolving! Lastly we raided the Magma Hideout but were unable to get there in time. Magma is still up to no good...

We made it to the Pokemon League! Along the way we managed to take down Team Magma and finally put and end to their shenanigans. Hopefully. We also took down the final two gyms, made the trek through the tough Victory Road, and took down our rival Wally. Now just 5 trainers stand between us and being the #1 trainer in Hoenn.
