Checked upcoming Pokemon Chronicles.. What? Brock vs. Mom?!

    I went ahead in the guide to see what Pokemon Chronicles was gonna be about. I wanna start watching it. The first one I look at... it's info read something like Brock battles his mother for the ownership of the Pewter City Gym.



    Uh, what?
    I thought his Dad said that his mother died or something like that?
    Pokemon has more twists than Lost.

    Ok, maybe not, but most of the time, Pokemon makes more sense. But this doesn't. Fill me in, but don't reveal the ending!!! I guess his Dad was wrong? O.o
     
    Actually, his REAL mom was dead. But his water-pokemon-loving STEPmom took over the gym. Read it on Serebii.net
     
    But I thought that in the Japanese version, Brock's mom left the family, while in the dub his mother died. Is this upcoming episode for this Saturday?

    No, it was a dub error and I'm assuming the Serebii guide tried to fix it to fit the continuity of the dub by saying it's his step mother (even though in the dub, they tried to ignore their mistake back in episode 5 and went along with her as being the real mom). Plus, the guide was written by GoldenNoctowl77, so it isn't a good idea to trust it.

    In the original Japanese version, his mother, Mizuho, abandoned the family when Muno left, LavenderCase is correct.

    I really wanna see that episode though! x3 Can't ...wait!
     
    In my opinion, Flint lied about Brock's mom being dead. He just couldn't say to Ash that she left the family and make her seem like a bad mother. In fact, I might write a short fanfic about Flint and Lola arguing about Flint lying to Ash.

    Lola: You didn't have to tell that kid I was dead!

    Flint: Well it was either that or tell him that you abandoned your kids!

    Just put it this way. Flint lied in episode 5, and Brock never got around to telling Ash the truth.

    I saw it today. You know what I think? I say his mother is dead, but his Dad never told Brock, and the mother you see now is a... DITTO.
    On a serious note, I cannot stand the way her mouth looks. It looks like an anime cat's or Ditto's transformed mouth looks. ~wavy~.

    Oh well. Hey, I like this series, so believe it or not, I'm gonna tune in next week. :)
