3rd Gen Chimecho

    I've been reading around the forums and have seen some stuff about this pokemon. That he's rare and what not.

    I've just started playing my ruby again about 4-5 days ago. Just got to Mt. Pyre last night and this was the first pokemon I came across in the grass(Yea I'm lucky xD)

    Knowing how rare he was I caught him(took a while though lol) But I was wondering is Chimecho a good pokemon to use in your team for the Elite 4? or Is he just a rare pokemon to complete the pokedex?
     
    Chimecho really is a crappy pokemon in terms of stats, it's only decent stats being its Sp.Atk and Sp.Def. >_>

    If you want to take a psychic-type to the E4 (not sure why you would seeing as the Hoenn E4 are full of dark-types, ghost-types, and steel-types) I'd use Gardevoir.

    Thanks for the reply, I haven't played Pokemon in YEARS(around 6) So I don't remember all this stuff. So Psychic pokemon bad for Elite 4, got it.

    it's not that Psychic type Pokemon are bad for the Elite 4, it's just that some of them like Chimecho have pretty bad stats

    Gardevior is a good Pokémon! I like Gardevior! It was in my Diamond team.

    Chimecho isn't a good Pokémon, and I have no idea why it comes after the legendaries in the Pokédex.

    But.. if you want to train it, it's your choice.

    It doesn't come after legendaries in the Pokedex. Check the game and its national number. Anyway, I remember searching for hours in search of that bugger. I wasn't very happy when Chingling became easily available in DPPt when Chimecho was so hard to find in RSE.
     
    Well I decided to just keep it in my storage box for now. Lvl'd up my shuppet into a Banette instead. Thanks for the replies!
     
    Banette's moves and stats aren't much better compared to Chimecho, No offense to that guy with banette on his signature.

    I think Destiny meant in the code. :\

    I've always wondered that myself, actually. I assumed they just forgot to put it in or something.

    But yeah, it fails pretty hard.
