As said, saying that Chain chomp is overrated because of a weakness is moot. If thats the case, Blissey is bad because of its physical weakness.

Garchomp will already be weakened by the attack that he switched in to, so most likely ice beam still has a chance to KO.. and if you know he'll be using a 2nd earthquake, there are enough faster levitators/flying types out there to switch in (and a good team will have one).

I'm just saying there are better ways using him, CB, Scarf, and of course the loathed powdersub set.

It's called PREDICTION. If you see the switch coming, you hit skarm with fire blast on the switch! Hello? It's so easy a caveman could do it!

If you see a swampert coming in, switch your counter in. PREDICTION! That's how you are supposed to battle...while your points are valid, they are only valid if you predict horribly...which most of us don't.

At least I gained some respect before I leave here today...

EDIT: I'd just like to say that I don't act high and mighty. If you'd read my goodbye in my fanclub (which last I checked you didn't have one) you'd know that I KNOW the quality of my posts has declined. some people.

If Swampert switches into Chain Chomp and uses Ice Beam, it is NOT a damn OHKO. It 2HKO's smart one, I've tested it with Richard Steel once

Ice Beam from a Swampert 2HKO's Garchomp because it just HAPPENS to be a very bulky sweeper. Swords Dance Dragon Claw 2HKO's Swampert, tearing it apart quite easily.

With prediction, chainchomp easily takes down a slew of physical walls and many special walls, not to mention sweeper. the trick is using correct prediction.

In fact, you can wipe out skarmbliss REAL quick with it. Maybe why it's a skarmbliss counter lol

It was all a battle with me and Richard, I sent out Swampert against his Garchomp (who Swords Danced), and attempted to pull in Ice Beam. It stayed at a very VERY low Yellow Zone HP, but since it froze, it gave me the quick way to wipe the Chomp out.

Also, thanks for stating the obvious, you're so good at it.. Predicting is everything on pokemon!! So maybe I should switch to Scarf Heatran with HP ice after I took one earthquake on Swampert, since it's so obvious he'll be using fire blast. /sarcasm

Name, I'll repeat it again for you, Garchomp already took a hit, so he WILL die to an ice beam if he doesn't have Yache berry, and the set that was suggested has Life Orb. lol. I also know this from experience since the exact thing happened today, and my Swampie KO'd.

If you read carefully, you'd know when Chomp took a hit.

situation 1: Heracross used Stone Edge, Garchomp switched in and took the hit. Garchomp uses swords dance while I switch to Swampert. then he uses what... draco meteor? oh yes he did, and I took damage, but not so much, and then KO'd with ice beam. It sure is a surprise, but many pokemon can take a hit and KO him back, coz his base sp.atk isn't that great. You're better off with Scarfchomp outraging later in the game, or even a CBchomp so even increase his power and KO with outrage faster opponents (Starmie..) on the switch.

I'm not contradicting myself, actually you are the one doing that. It's nice to see your true form finally, when you're flaming me openly after a mod YOU called for posted here. Great way to leave. Then again, if you're really 8 years old, I'm sorry for upsetting you.
