chomp help

I'm not contradicting myself, actually you are the one doing that. It's nice to see your true form finally, when you're flaming me openly after a mod YOU called for posted here. Great way to leave. Then again, if you're really 8 years old, I'm sorry for upsetting you.

As Name said...DROP IT! If I'm the little kid, why is it you that keeps bringing this up? O...M...G...

My true form? Ask mysticmanyula, Bobpie, Name, sims796, Iceman3k, Itachi, Mr.May16, ...the list goes on...about my true form. I only try to help. why can't you accpet we have different opinions? forget it.

Why would you let garchomp take damage openly. Switch it into blissey's thunder wave...not against swampert's ice beam! If you use prediction and bring Chomp in safely, you can set up and beat swampert.

Ok, Syaoran. Its obvious you don't know how to use Chain Chomp effectivley. It can't be fail, as you have two members vouching for it.

Yes. If you are smart enough to not let it take damage on the switch...*coughpredictioncough* then you can set up and beat swampert. We've proven it :/

Aren't you feeling a bit of a hypocrite now? You are the one who reacted after Forest Grovyle posted.

Spoiler:

Guys, calm down. I was giving out a situation, and we were discussing the situation. I wasn't discussing how to use it, and you weren't too, so don't judge my pokemon experience if you never battled me. It's rude, but I'll understand if it makes you feel better about yourself.

I have already agreed that prediction is the most important thing in pokemon, and this is what usually wins battles. Yet, I believe the other Garchomp sets are used more effectively. Also, speaking for Swampert's defence, not many people suspect ice beam on it, so I wouldn't be surprised if a sword danced Garchomp stayed on it.

Drop it...........

I am not 8...since when is that relevant?

And didn't I realize my mistake after FG posted? I deleted my comments...guess people can't look past SIMPLE LITTLE MISTAKES these days. Sheesh. Wait, after I delete my comments, you too ignored FG...at least I'll own up and say I should've listened.

I'm so sick of this...

Still, your logic about swampert was indeed flawed. In the example I just posted, it clarly shows why it can beat swampert...unless the user is a n00b or uses a novetly set that is like a special sweeper...but never seen that b4, so...

Other garchonmp sets that are purely physical are more easily walled than skarmory when you have a magneton in :/ Skarm absorbs fire fang like candy.

I NEVER insulted your battle experience AT ALL. I merely implied that you might not have much Chain chomp experience.

This is the problem. Noticed I never gave any wise cracks. That bolded comment was unappropriate.

You are SO right.

But in a poor attempt to stay on topic...

Random pokemon! Come back! Go garchomp!
Blissey used Twave!
It didn't effect garchomp!

Blissey! Come back! Go swampert!
Garchomp used swords dance!

Garchomp used earthquake!
Swampert used ice beam!

If you know swampert isn't gonna switch...
Garchomp used Earthquake! Swampert fainted!

If you predict a switch...
Swampert! come back! Go skarmory!
Garchomp used fire blast!

Ouch...

that about explains it.

Why do you keep screaming "DROP IT" when you continuously reply to my posts? lol.

I stand by my Swampert, and if you still don't understand the situation we were originally discussing, then it is unfortunate.

Supposedly Garchomp knew he would be KO'd by ice beam, so he switches to Blissey... the battle goes on. A smart user won't be t-waving knowing Garchomp will easily step in and shake it off. Also, if he does earthquakes after a swords dance, the opponent would know it's most likely a ChainChomp.

sims: You were belittling my battle experience when you have no clue if I have or haven't used ChainChomp. Also, I never said it's "fail".

Thats the thing. A single situation. You must give more examples, in a NON SCARCASTIC TONE, as I was never sarcasic. We diswayed the Swampert scenario.

You scout for ice beam...if you see it's there, use another pokemon to counter it :/ Even all-physical garchomps usually have SD and EQ...so how would the opponent see chainchomp coming solely based on that?

Wait, that one remark was WAY off. Most teams have a groung type on the squad...so thunder wave is ALWAYS a risk. If your opponent is actually good, they'll switch to a counter for garchomp, but how would they know you had one? If they scout for it, then you know there's something about garchomp that scares them, so you'll know they'll predict garchomp switching in...so then you predict the prediction.

EDIT: Sims, great point. there is a situation where every pokemon stands no chance...Chomp is no excpetion. Examples? Skarm vs Magneton, bliss vs. adamant duggy or anything that outstalls it for that matter...so yeah, EVERY pokemon has a counter :/

I'm getting so sick of this i'm getting a headache X(

Name, the problem is that Anti & Syaoran's personal feelings came into the mix...the BOTH of them. Sorry Anti.

However, if Syaoran wants to continue debating on Chain Chomp, thats great.

If it weren't the day I was leaving I wouldn't be so bitter about it :/

Chainchomp is countered by very few pokemon...whereas physical or choice item sets are counterd by most anything that can take a physical hit. Chainchomp takes lots of prediction and skill to counter...something like ice fang gyarados does the job well.

The damage from his hits wouldn't be as rough as it would've been from all-physical Garchomp, the lack of EV's in attack will show it, and an experienced battler will take notice of that.

The t-wave remark was assuming you already know the opponent has Garchomp in his team, and Garchomp shouldn't fear coming in Blissey without ice beam.

Does that mean we can have a sarcasm-free discussion?

Then you expect them to know that it's chainchomp :/ Predicting the prediction...so key.

That last sentence was wored horribly. Could you rephrase that?

EDIT: Yeah, it's about time we can ACTUALLY discuss this...

Itachi, read my sig.................

Take your own advice. Both of you were equally bad in your petty argument.

I can't believe it took half a page just to stop the majority of the off-topic argument. -_-; Keep on the topic of strategies and ONLY that topic or I will hand out warnings. This is the second time we've had to post here, and you're lucky I'm not giving you any now.

I feel like I'm beating the dead horse here since the wost has past... but I'm just letting you know. :)
