So I've been hearing a lot about Cloned Pokemon lately. I'm assuming this means Pokemon who have had copies created of them. Some people ask for trades exclusively saying "No Cloned Pokemon" and stuff like that.

So My question is, what do you guys think about cloned pokemon? Would you be upset knowing that one of the pokemon that was traded to you is cloned? Especially when it comes to shinies.

not at all, I use pokemon I get in trades to breed my own pokemon so regardless of whether or not the pokemon I get in trade is a clone, hacked or cheated to get, I won't be using it for anything other than to breed legitimate pokemon

As far as I know there is no way to clone pokemon in gen 6.

As per the topic, I have never traded a cloned pokemon and never will. However if someone has a pokemon I really need/want then I will settle for a clone. As I will likely just breed it.

From what I've heard, this gen there is something called the "Infrared Method" of cloning pokemon? I might be mistaken, but I believe its gen 6. Apparently it works but has a risk of permanently deleting a save file.

There definitely is a method of cloning in Gen 6. There are a number of videos on YouTube with people explaining it. While slightly more difficult than in other generations, it's still a rather simple process.

I don't mind. I trade clones myself in my trade shop (or well, I did, when I was active haha). If you don't like clones, it's kinda like tough **** around here, since most traders, especially RNGers, clone their Pokemon. It's convenient, let's you both have the Pokemon, and as long as the Pokemon was obtained legitimately, then it's fine.

I've had a friend of mine that wasn't okay with clones, so I ended up keeping the clone and letting him have the original copy. So if you don't like clones, maybe you'll be lucky enough to run into someone that understands and will give you the original. I mean, I get where people are coming from with being iffy about clones, and it's not a big deal for me to trade an original to them if that's the case. But I'd probably really have to like ya. :P
