Closet Pokemon Fans?

I'm in year twelve currently, and my mates and I only really like it for it's gaming value (we're all hardcore gamers).

Mind you, I'm the only one who goes a bit further with my love for Pokémon, but don't tell them that :x .

Hmmm Well I'd have to say I've changed in my life. So I suppose I'll go into to details like some of you.

When I was little I loved Pokemon., It had become my life. Anything of my childhood that I can remember involved Pokemon. I remember going to Kindergarten and when Lunchables used to do this thing where they had these weird cardboard circles you would cut-out and collect off the box, and I would always be the one people would go up to and ask what pokemon they got on theres. I also remember playing the crap out of Pokemon Blue on the brick when I was only like 6. I remember finding a wild Squirtle just outside of the town you battle Brock at. I would collect everything. I had cards I can remember almost every Booster Pack I opened. Well then when I got to my first year of grade school and it became banned. But I was a Pokemon rebel along with my little 1st grade posse I hung out with. We ruled the Pokemon world. I would get teased though and people would throw there old cards at me and I would just keep walking and pick them up. Well then one of my posse friends moved and it was 2nd grade and I just got bored and moved on to Digimon, the new Pokemon for our school at the time. Well that went on till I moved up to the small town of Aitking where I met a kid who was as secretly obssessed as I was. SO we became friends and I don't know. Now I guess I would be a closet fan only talking about it with people I know that like it. But that's okay things change.

well i like pokemon ever since i lived downtown and my family bought a tv an i watched it every weekend and got my 1st gameboy and played it and i got hooked now my friends dont play but i do

My first friend knew I loved pokemon back when we were small.
But I don't she realizes I'm still a pokemon fanatic xD!

Like Fable said, if my school found out about me and my pokemon...
Me = DEAD : (

i'm twenty and most people know that i play. i even got three of my friends playing on shoddy. mostly because shoddy is a quick and easy way for fun. they stopped and are playing warcraft again now.

I've loved Pokemon since I was 5, when my bro first got Pokemon Red and saw him play it for a while, I was determined to get Pokemon Bluel; I did and the game had me hooked. I'd always take it on holiday and I still do today. Taking pokemon games on holiday has become a tradition between me and my bro, along with listening to Guns and Roses too.
I don't hide it, but I don't show it either. You could say that I'm a casual pokemon fan. I'll admit that I still love playing the games, some people will agree too, but I don't go overboard with my fandom. I still like the original first season of the pokemon anime, but I don't watch it anymore nor do I play in the metagame - although this is probably because my Wi-fi refuses to co-operate with me. I can play any Pokemon game in public and not care, the games are just fun. Noone can deny that.
