Question: Cloudflare

The CloudFlare error shows up during heavy site traffic and if one person is getting it, it's likely that others will be lagging or getting it too. I know that I sometimes get it, for example, when doing IP searches on members with many IP logs because it strains the server. Multiple forum searches at the same time could have the same sort of effect. It's not just you, or at least, that's my understanding of it.

if you noticed a cached page or the site not loading, we are aware of this It is just a brief traffic spike and is recovering as I post this
is what I assume to be the issue you experienced.

Cloudflare is a security and CDN service we use to a) speed up page loads by off-loading static resources like images, javascript and so on to a widely distributed network allowing for faster loading times due to the resources being closer to you. and b) for security.. CF will check your IP and web browser sigs against a list of known exploiter/hackers/spammers/etc. then blocks the bad ones and offers a challenge that a legit human user can use to regain access.

When tPC is under a high server load or is down for maint, CF will serve either a can't connect or static cache page until tPC is back functioning normally then it will load images / scripts / etc from their server and the rest of the dynamic content from our servers.

also its the internet and stuff happens.

P.S.

Happy Valentine's Day!
