Could someone give me a code for disabling my own signature please?
Or could a Mod at least disable my signature?
    Thanks XD

No you can't have the code to disable signatures because it clearly states in the disable tag that "this tag should not be used for decoration purposes", so yeah, sorry but it can't be disabled. :x

Don't try to break the rules either to get it disabled because that would have no point.

No, the staff use that as a reference as much as members do.

To be honest, I think the rule against using [sig-reason] or [sig-disable] tags is actually quite silly. I see no reason to prevent someone from disabling their own signature when mods can easily issue yellow cards for signature disabling to keep official track of when they disable them, or just plain old usernotes on the member's profile. It's really not difficult.

On the flipside of that coin, their reasons are sufficient...even if I don't like them.

I wouldn't mind taking that off the bbcode list, honestly. We have threads where we can document that, and we don't put in the code ourselves when we disable sigs anyway. :x

When it comes to infracting for signature offenses, I like to think that we're pretty lean in that department. However, we wouldn't need to use User Notes or Yellow Cards to keep track of the number of times a user's signature was disabled before. Usually when we go to disable someone's signature, if it has been disabled before, we see it on top of the page along with who disabled it, why the did it, and when. So it really keeps track of itself.

As for why the BB Code is there, I also like to think it's just for reference sake. There's never been a problem with it being there, and it's been there for so long, I don't see much point in removing it. At least for members who view the BB Code page and may not know about it, they can know what that signature code is used for in case it ever happens to them. At least that's one way to look at it for being there.

Can't you just edit your own signature and remove it that way? If you want to only remove it temporarily, copy and paste any codes you used for images and what not to a Word document for future reference.

You can also use your Notepad on your User CP profile to store the codes as well. As I did that once, and it kept it safe for when I wanted to use it again.
