Coding.

7 seconds is kind of a long time for a website... especially considering the attention span of an average internet user is something around 3 seconds before they start to get annoyed by loading times.

:X Or less if you're like my brother, who will literally start crying out of frustration if something takes over 10 seconds. XD

And this is coming from the guy who thinks that a Pokeball background with black text and the ocational underline and bold is "stylin' whoooo and profilin'!" I'm sorry to say this, but your layout is reminicent of those old Pokemon sites from 1998 on Angelfire. Hey, at least your site is better than Maxpages! :P

Alakazam, if you criticize someone use proper spelling, grammar and punctuation. Also, having a site that is online may give some credit to your words.

mewthree w/armor, you might want to have the browser measure the time to takes to load. The RCs of version 1.0 of Mozilla measured load time but I'm not sure if any of the others have them.

Pokemon Fan Universe's average load time for me is 1 second or less which, I have tested with 56k and it is also around that range on a 56k modem.

Well, it takes longer when you first load the page... but once you view it first, it views faster... Hmmmm...

Question, what is your definition of load time? From when you click/activate/enter the URL to when the site is fully loaded or when you can see the majority of the page minus some of the images?

That might be because of the CSS stylesheet. It is cached by the browser.

Edit: Loadtime: How long it takes everything on the page to show up on your screen.
