"Cold as Pryce!" Episode Discussion

    Here is where you can discuss the tragic introduction of the seventh Johto Gym Leader, Pryce, in the self-explanatory "Cold as Pryce!"

    My review to come forthwith.

    It was a different story and a good one. Good ideas with the flashback and real truth and stuff.
     
    Episode comparison time. Not much, beyond the Rocket motto and the commerical cut.

    Indeed, as Pryce is probably the most outright tragic GL. Brock would be close with his parents' abandonment and Sabrina, while tragic, reflects on control and chaos of her powers.

    Conversely, Giovanni's issues with his mother is a great recipe for drama, but the anime never went anywhere with it. The only apparent extension was Mewtwo, and what happened there was of Giovanni's making and not tragic, at all.

    Jasmine had a plight and all, but nothing as intense compared to the aforementioned.

    At least, one can't say the card has been overplayed much.
