Hi!
Recently I started on the path to completing the National Dex. Today I discovered competitive battling (eg Smogon) and am now discouraged. If much of the Poke-playing community uses Simulators and Emulators why am I bothering with an achievement on Cartridges?
Also, why bother completing the Dex when all of those pokemon might be non-transferable in a generation of the near future? It starts to feel like I'm wasting my time to some extent on the DS.
I'm not burnt out collecting pokemon- I love the hunt- but I might burn out soon if there's no real achievement in doing something on the cartridges. So I'm asking you guys, the hardcore fans, do you play on cartridges? Is it worthwhile to mainly play there and not on the PC?
Thanks!
