Colloseum or XD?

I'm going to buy a new game soon, and I can't decide. Which game has more gameplay, and does XD have a battle part too?

Technically, you would want to play both. Pokémon Colosseum is a prelude to Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. However, you may want to buy Gale of Darkness due to it not only having more battle(s), but there are areas where you're able to capture Wild Pokémon (which is not a feature in Colosseum).
