So. When you snag a Shadow Pokemon, do you get to see its nature?

    I don't believe so.
If memory serves correctly you have to purify it a bit before you get to see information such as that.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, however.

You've gotta purify 2 bars to see the nature of a pokemon. When I was playing and trying to get decent natures for the magical beasts I just plugged the stats into serebii's iv calculator with a neutral nature. If I couldn't tell what nature the pokemon was likely to be from that it pretty much meant its IV's sucked, so I wouldn't want it anyway independent of its nature.

That's correct - two bars emptied lets you find out the nature (but it's set when you first encounter it). It's also the stage when Shadow Pokemon start gaining experiance from battles. First bar gives you a move, third and fourth also give a move each.

Knowing natures of Shadow Pokemon is helpful, as the nature affects how well different purification work on purifying the Pokemon.
