    Hello guys, nice to meet you all!
    My nickname is Fracaway and I'm from Spain, but you can call me Alfonso as well (my real name).
    Like all of you, of course, Pokémon has been one of my favourite videogame franchises since I was a kid.
    I remember that I used to take my cousin's Game Boy to play Pokémon Blue, Silver and so on... Until my parents bought me a Game Boy Advance SP with Pokemon Ruby. And yes, from that day on I became a big geek of all kinds of games 😆
    Anyway, I found this site because I was searching info about tools and help for Pokémon fangames. Actually I'm a little busy doing work-related things, but I have some ideas and I have been interested in making a fangame for many years. I heard that in this forum there are people who know about it so I'd love to learn as much as possible from you and why not? Make new friends, which never hurts.

    There's a quite a few sections related to Fan Games =3

    Do you have any favorite Pokemon or a type of Pokemon you generally prefer?

    Do you intend to put fakemon of your own in your fangame or only official pokemon?

    Hey, a spaniard! Welcome to PC :)

    Pokémon holds a special place in all our hearts, I'm sure ^^ Did you watch the anime or play with the trading cards also? That was how I got into the franchise. Nice that you got to play Silver and Blue, the first generations! I always thought that the sprites in Silver were the absolute cutest. Ruby was the first game I owned though, also a great place to start at.

    As ReKoil showed, we have a huge section for fangames yeah. I'm sure you can learn by reading and asking questions there, and maybe also check out the PokéCommunity Discord where you can chat more directly with other fangame makers/hackers. https://discord.com/invite/pokecommunity

    Well, that's always a difficult question to answer... When I started my adventure in Hoenn years ago, I liked Treecko's design a lot and it's a Pokémon that I have a special affection for. But over the years they've introduced other cool designs, and one that I love so much is Krookodile. On the other hand, my favourite type is Dark and by far my favourite legendaries are Rayquaza and Deoxys, so you can guess that I really enjoyed the Delta episode of the remakes 😆

    And yes! I'd like to keep mostly official Pokémon, but I have some ideas about fakemon and regional forms too, such as the starters or a regional Tropius for example.

    Yes, of course! I've been following Ash's adventures since I was a kid and honestly I'm quite sad that his journey is going to come to an end, but I suppose life is like that and I guess everything has to end at some point. Besides that, I don't play TCG but my best friend plays it a lot even in some local tournaments and I'm more or less aware of how it goes. Nevertheless, I like to buy some cards from time to time for collecting.

    And I'm the same as you. I've always loved Pokémon sprites and I think that with the change to 3D it has lost some of its charm. Black/White's culmination with the moving sprites seemed to me something beastly in its day.

    Thank you so much! And affirmative, the third generation is my favourite (followed by the fourth). The fact that I grew up with them and the beautiful moments I experienced during their respective eras have made this generations mean so much to me. So long live the trumpets! 😆

    Swampert was just a beast! In fact it was my "first starter". It's a very embarrassing thing, but I remember the first days I didn't know how to save the game. Yes, just as you read it... So I started the game several times with Treecko as starter but, when I decided to change my starter and try Mudkip, that's when I discovered how to do it so I continued the adventure with him 🙃
    I also remember above all how I caught my first shiny. At the time, not much was known about its existence so when I saw that Aron with red eyes I thought it was some kind of secondary mission in which I had to heal him or something like that.
    They are, as you say, key moments that stay with us forever.
