Compass questions

I'm trying to figure out how the compass works. If I circle a pokemon on the nearby does it point the direction that the Pok?mon is ? And is the red end pointing in the direction of travel to get to circled pokemon, or does the gray side point in that direction? Or do they even work in conjunction?

Hey Neechoo,

So the compass does not help you find Pokemon it is strictly for direction, like Google Maps. The red indicates North and the gray South. The app opens with the map oriented North and when you click on compass the map is oriented into the direction your character is looking. Hope that answered your questions.

Yeah the compass is to just help you orientate your camera as opposed to having to slide your finger to rotate the camera.
