    sorry if this is answered in a different thread, but are their any competitive battling tournaments held in the united states that are like officaly ran by nintendo? if so how often are where?

    • It appears Nintendo is holding a "World Championship"... (they did this last year as well)

    However, this is a Double Battle format... how unusual.

    • Depends on what type of tournament you want. You should really just ask about these in the forum dedicated to the type of game you're talking about (TCG, D/P/P, etc), the people who post in those forums actively would be much more likely to know then ones in PG, I'd say. Or you can just check the Pokemon website. They (used to, at least) post an article whenever a new tournament comes up.
