Is anyone competitive breeding pokemon at the moment?

    I have:

    Ferroseed: 31/31/31/31/31/x

    Eevee: 31/x/31/31/31/31

    Torchic: 31/31/31/x/31/31

    Ditto: 31/31/31/x/x/x

    Looking to trade with people!

I'm new to pokemon shiny breeding, what does the x stand for? And how did you get it to 31 o-o?

It isn't shiny breeding, its IV breeding, and i got it to 31 using the destiny knot and various dittos

Lucky! I've been trying to get a good Gible since I found a 31/31/x/x/x/31 Ditto. No luck so far though. I haven't really gotten anything good from my other breeding Pokemon either. I have such bad luck.:(

It took me forever but now i have 2, 5 IV pokemon to breed with each other which has significantly helped me breed more almost perfect pokemon, except i only needed one for my competitive team lol

x is a placeholder for an irrelevant stat. It doesn't matter what Torchic's special attack stat is because it's mainly played as a physical sweeper, for example. Ferroseed's speed is so low, that a 31 IV for it would make almost no difference, so that, too, is irrelevant.

That said, those are some pretty sweet Pokemon, I don't have anything nearly as good on my X, I'm just gonna cheat and transfer my flawless Ditto in a few months. Breeding will take literally no effort. XD

Oh nice! This is the first gen of games that I'm actually IV breeding a team. It's a tough start, but I think I'm getting the hang of it, lol.

I would love to trade spitbacks from you, but all that I have right now are larvitars.

    Here's what I got so far;
    2 Snorunt: 31/31/31/x/31/31
    Cluncher: 31/x/31/31/31/31
    3 Fletching: 31/31/31/x/31/31
    Froakie: 31/31/30/31/30/31
    Beldum: x/31/x/31/31/31
    2 Ferroseed: 31/31/31/x/31/2

I'm still breeding Beldum, but its too hard since I dont have any good ditto.

    2 Axew 31/31/31/x/31/31
    Fenekin 31/x/31/31/31/31
    Pawniard 31/31/31/x/31/31

That's all I got for now, the extra Axew its for my cousin. I don't use Dittos since I don't have any Dittos with good IV, I have to use friend safari pokemon in the same egg group. I'm going to try ferroseed next.

I am new to current generation pokémon breeding, can someone explain how destiny knot breeding for 31 IVs works?

(Sorry if I sound like a total scrub, I am still trying to catch up on what I've missed since I stopped playing pokémon after Emerald.)
