Hey, you guys. Maybe you can help me a bit.

Okay it been happening snice last night. But my monitor keeps on going off and on, and when I get back turned on...my screen is totally messed up! Like my icons and everything is so out of wack! It looks werid. Do you think some of my programs are doing this? Do you think I might have to do System Restore to make everything better? I don't know what to do. It only happens when I want to do something. x.x It might be a virus around, but I can't dect it. And also my computer freezes and then it goes black(stand by)...comes back looking werid. I use cable internet and I leave my computer on all times. And also when I type...the text drags around the screen. It is too alarming...don't know what to do.

Please help whenever you can. Thanks. ^^

Well firstly, could you post a screenie of what's wrong with your icons, it might give us some insight.

As for why your monitor is blinking on and off, it could just be ... broken.

Especially if you leave it on all the time. How old is it?

I seriously think it's just your monitor that's broken, not your PC.

But have you installed/uninstalled anything recently?

It is a LCD. But I think it is fine now. I think it needed to be off once and a while. I have it on for so long. And when I was about to go to safe mode...I went to this setting that it says...Configuation with Windows XP or something like that...I don't remember. I went to that. And it restarted itself. And it is fine now. O_o I really didn't know it kept on doing what it did. And now it is fixed. But I will keep an eye for it.

Oh...let me tell you guys something...I came across this.

The Problem seems to be caused by the following file: nv4_disp

The device driver got stuck in a infinite loop. This is usually indicates problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly.

That is what it said when it when into the blue screen. This message shows up.

Well if you guys know about this...let me know. I think this will stay open. I want to know what to do when this happens again. Thanks. ^^

Found out what is wrong with it. I need a new video card. The one I got is totally old. And I guess it gave out. So I found out the problem. Thanks guys! I might need to upgrade my monitor though. But it is definetly the video card. Need a new one.

Someone can close this now. ^^ Thanks again guys.
