Confused about these boxart images :/

Hey, I was wondering how exactly was this boxart made?

I'm wondering if they were drawn first before they were printed or something because i dont really understand

But looking at this article about choas black that thing on the front looks like a recolored chaos from sonic so...

Using a printer... The same way shiny Pokemon cards are printed.
Yeah, that's right--holographic printers exist.

Also probably printed on glossy paper.

Also, if you unfold a box completely, you'll see that all box schematics boil down to a flat sheet of stock paper. You print it and cut it down to the schematic and then fold it, use some glue, tuck some parts in, and viola!
