Anyone else ever notice, that Confusion. Is not random per pokemon? Like me personally, I am currently leveling my Sableye and my Golem, in Victory road. Where golbats, zubats, hariyama and so on are. Anytime my Golem gets smacked with confuse ray. It last the entire fight, and even the button trick with if they got hit while holding or pressing extra buttons, then don't press it next turn and it will still strike. And vice versa. Does NOT work.
However my Sableye, when hit with confuse ray, he will be confused for 3 turns tops. Button trick always works. I wonder what if anything helps that, or makes it that way. My Sableye in Sapphire shows the same symptons during confusion. SO my guess/theory is. Maybe the "smarter" the pokemon is supposed to be in thr storyline. Has something to do with it? Idk honestly just a guess. But I notice ones like Onix, Steelix, Hariyama, and so on. Are generally for me. More often to stay confused, and not care about the button trick. As where, Abra, Kadabra, Sableye, Shedinja, So on. The more "intelligent" pokemon. Come out of confusion quicker, and work with the button trick.
Throw your thoughts in on the topic please. ^^
