    Well, I think we should have a Contest Discussion Thread. This is a non-plot part of the game, but it's different: You don't need to fight. It's really different of the other parts of the game.

    Also, we can leave here Contests related questions, or talk about happenings about the Contests, or hints to win the Master Contest and getting a picture for the museum...

    Now I'm really looking forward to win the Toughness Master Contest. I already won it, but not so good, as I didn't get the picture.

    Now I'm looking for a good Pokémon, with a good moveset, good for combats and Contests. I'm thinking about Metagross. What do you guys think ??

    And if this Thread is useful, maybe it'll be a good idea to stick it...xD
     
    That's cool !! My Swampert won all the Toughness Contests ^^ But I'm looking for something blasting, for winning the contests and getting those pics...Any moveset recommended ?? How about Explosion or Hyper Beam ??
     
    hmmm this should be sticky since the Contest is like another big part of R/S/E, umm I have all of the ribbons already. Yea I bet that your Swampert had EQ or maybe Takedown?

    I'm trying to get my Milotic as Uber Beauty and powerful at the same time... Anyone help? I'm used too giving my Beauty Pokemon fire type moves because on Ruby my Blaziken beat Master Beauty and Super Toughness. Banette beat Normal Smartnes... Banette Rools!

    Looks like I'm a fan of Toughness Contests: Yesterday I caught my Regirock, today I saw his stats and attacks and all of them are Toughness attacks...Is Regirock a good one for Contests ??

    And your Milotic is a good one for Beauty Contests: It evolved due it's Beuty, so it is a good one. I know a good combo for Beauty: Surf + Dive. My Swampert had it when I used to play Sapphire in the emulator xDD

    Regirock might be good...depends if it has combo moves like superpower and curse

    As for beaty contests, I prefer Castform since it has ice-type combo moves and such...too long ago xD
     
    Phew, you made it in time. Tomorrow this thread was going to die xD

    Anyways, I'm going to tell you all how to win a Cuteness Contest without effort.

    - First of all, catch a Barboach or a Whiscash in the Meteor Falls. One with a nature who likes sweet Pokéblocks.
    - Now, when the Blender Master is in the Lilycove Contests Hall, make some Pokéblocks with Pecha berries.
    - Raise Barboach/Whiscash cuteness to its maximum level.
    - Then, go to Slateport City, and bring it to the Club.
    - Get a Pink Scarf/Ribbon (I dunno its name ^^U) and give it to Barboach/Whiscash.

    Now, your Pokémon is the cutiest ever !! xD Now, it's time for the Exibition !!

    - On 1st turn, use Amnesia. You'll get a star.
    - On 2nd turn, use Rest. You'll get 2 x Appeal + 1 (Star)
    - On 3rd turn, use Snore. You'll get 4 x Appeal + 1 (Star). Also, a Combo Bonus.
    - On 4th turn, use Rest again.
    - On 5th turn, use Snore again.

    It would be probable of getting more Hearts if the crowd is really excited. Try this, it really works !! xDDD
     
    Interesting idea, Auron. I'll try that. :3 I've always love the the Contests in R/S/E. They were always something that I love doing more than the gyms themselves. I almost think that there should be a game for becoming a Coordinator. :/ Some people don't like doing gyms time after time. *coughcoughlikemecoughcough*
     
    Well my Claydol won both Smartness and Beauty Master contests and has portraits in the museum. Whoever thought Claydol could be beautiful lol
     
    I'm terrible at the contests. I never get the crowd vote, and another Pokemon always seems to pull ahead just enough in the appeals section to beat my Pokemon. :( I've never fed them any PokeBlocks because the block maker makes me extremely dizzy to watch. o-o Are PokeBlocks a necessity? I know they help a lot, but I'm curious to know what the "secret" to winning the contest is.





    Oh yes...did I forget to mention that this is at the first level of competition?? xD

    Well... if you max out their beauty/cuteness/etc. it'll give you about 40% more appeal. It helps A LOT, it's not a must have but it would be pretty hard to win otherwise.
     
    I have one doubt...My Whiscash had full beauty and the ribbon, but there was another Pokémon in the Contest who had more votes from the crowd...Why ?? It depends on the Pokémon ??

    BTW...I need help with Smartness Contests, because I see good moves for Jamming, but not for Appeal.
