4th Gen Contests?

No they do not have to have the WiFi contests downstairs, because they can simply put it like the Battle Frontier in Platinum and how you can Go WiFi there.

Also, if they put in contests, I know it'll give me something more to do after I beat most of the game.

That's true, thanks for the information.

Yes it would keep me busy as well, I just hope I wouldn't get bored of it quickly.
 
I doubt we would get both Contest Battles and Online Contests at the same time. That would be sexy though.
 
No, probably not as the only contest challenges you will be able to have over WiFi is with those who have the GS remakes as well, which won't be everyone. Though, it could be expected for the next gen.

That wouldnt be a problem. U can only do the Battle ZFrontier with those who have Platinum f l a s h.
 
No. I don't really think anyone actually liked them.
If the Contests were like the ones we see in the anime,
it would be so much better. I would love to have
contest battles, where the combinations you use
make up the points (enough with that cool/smart crap).

They'd still kinda get old, though, so Wi-Fi seems the
way to go.. C'mon, we're not cavemen any more! We
have the ability of wireless connection, so let's use it
Game Freak!

Also: GOLDENROD? That's like saying
you get a Masterball in Jubilife City T_T'
A more appropriate place would be somewhere
desolate and in-need of expansion. I think
it could fit in somewhere like Mahogany
or Olivine. Goldenrod seems like the obvious
place, but there's already too much going on.
Train Station, Radio Tower, Gym, Underground Tunnel,
Flower Shop... We need spacing, people!

I could also see the contest being in somewhere like
Ecruteak, but not on the first visit. Maybe Whitney will
be visiting ecruteak to participate in contests,
and it's full (she seems like that type.. Or Jasmine)
so you can't enter. When you re-visit Ecruteak after beating
Chuck or something, the contest is open.

Ecruteak has perfect placing, but it's a bit too early for me.

Oh yes, that completely slipped my mind. For that, I say bring on WiFi contests full on!

Actually I liked them.

Anyways, yes contests like the anime would be pretty cool to have. An appeal round, battlel round, the final battle round, and then a ribbon. I would like that to be in the 5th generation though.

If contests were in the Johto I really wouldn't mind but if it wasn't that would be fine as well.

There so boring and pointless. If there
is a contest in HG/SS then I agree that
it should be in Goldenrod. I think it would
be interesting if they put it in a small town
like they did in Verdanturf town in Ruby
and Sapphire. Perhaps Cherrygrove town
or Violet City would go nice with the Contest
Hall.

Pointless? I think it would be a great add-on to the Johto region for those people who like to play games and not always train. That's just my opinion though, so don't take it the wrong way.
 
If they put in contests, then they have a choice of putting it in different areas like in Ruby and Sapphire, or just sticking it in one place like Emerald, and DPPt.
 
Contests

Do you think the contests that originated in the third generation will make a reappearance in HGSS?

Contests aren't really my thing and I don't even remember if contests were in FRLG, so it won't make a difference to me. Honestly, I'm happy with just a Bug Catching Contest.
 
If they are going to put contests in it, they should use a style for them closer to the original contests, I hate the gen IV contests =/

I hope they just leave them out.
 
If they do include contests, I hope they exclude the Gen. IV 'improvements' over it. I rather let the judge see the beauty, I prefer Beauty Contests, of my Pokémon's moves rather than dress-up mode. :|
 
If they do, they should model them after 3rd gen, not 4th. And FireRed didnt include them, so I doubt they will make an appearance.
 
I really hope that Contests are not in HG/SS. There's really no point in them the way I see it- its just a way to get another one of those Achievement Stars, and I personally don't think theyre very fun.
 
They should have contest halls in Azalea Town Normal Cianwood Island Great Mahogany Town Ultra and the Master Contest in Goldenrod just like R/S them being in different towns but you must get the contest pass in Cianwood or Mahogany
 
they didnt add contest in FR/LG, so they dont HAVE to add them into HG/SS

but i would rather they add them
even though im not really a contest fan, its just something else to do
