    Rate my UU/BL team!

So, I made this team while messing around in Shoddy, and I've been using it in OU (mostly because it contains OU pokes), but my main strategy is wrecked by some pokes in OU that wouldn't be problems in UU/BL (damn you Gliscor!). So, I've decided to try to adapt the team to lower-tier play. I don't have exact EVs right now, but can provide later if you want them.

    First, my main sweeper:

    Linoone @ Salac Berry
    Adamant (252 Atk/252 Spd/6 HP)
    Return
    Night Slash
    Substitute
    Belly Drum

Belly drumming Linoone. This is the only pokemon I WILL NOT change (moveset can change, poke cannot).

    My setup poke:

    Jumpluff @ Leftovers
    Sleep Powder
    U-turn
    Substitute
    Leech Seed

Sets up by using it's fast Sleep Powder, then U-turning. If they switch out, I switch to a counter. If they stay in, Linoone comes in and drums.

    Special Wall:

    Uxie @ Leftovers
    Calm (252 HP/Split between Sp Atk/Sp Def)
    Charge Beam
    Thunderwave/Shadow Ball
    Grass Knot
    Yawn

Uxie has equal Sp Def and Def, so I'm not sure what EVs/Nature to use here. Also, I just threw together the moveset as well, so take a look!

    Lead:

    Froslass @ Choice Scarf
    Mild? (180ish Spd?/252 Sp Atk/rest Atk)
    Shadow Ball
    Ice Beam
    Thunderbolt
    Destiny Bond

Surprises by outspeeding almost every lead. Thus, if it's something that I can't counter and I think is going to try and OHKO me, Destiny Bond. Otherwise, STAB Shadow Ball and Ice Beam do some dmg, and Thunderbolt for coverage.

    Tank!

    Gastrodon @ Leftovers
    Calm/Bold (252 HP/129 Def/129 Sp Def)
    Stockpile
    Recover
    Ice Beam
    Surf

Tank Gastrodon. Stockpile up, Recover, and fire some Ice Beam/Surf.

Steel killer to set up Linoone:

    Probopass @ Leftovers
    Magnet Pull
    Modest (252 HP/252 Sp Atk/6 Def)
    Magnet Rise
    Thunderbolt/Discharge
    Earth Power
    Explosion/Flash Cannon/Thunderwave

As soon as I see a steel, this guy comes out. I need to be careful to not switch into Aggron's Earthquake, however, because he can outspeed and KO me before I can Magnet Rise. Dominates Steelix, however, which is my main concern.

Ok first of all, hyperlinks?? that's just plain weird

And with Linoone, Substitute then Belly Drum, Salac activates and sweeping begins... unfortunately this thing is easily stopped as it has no chance of hitting steel types for even normal effectiveness... And no Rock Smash ever

Your team has no real way of healing (with the exception of Cressy) so your pokemon will fall quite quickly

Cresselia BL'ed into a Mesprit/Uxie!!! if you're going to run a CM set, then give it BOLD nature with max def evs. i much prefer charge beam so that i can make room for thunderwave, but it's your choice. HP fire really limits it from taking out bulky waters and fire types.

i would reconsider jumpluff. you really need something to pass linoone a sub if you want it to actually perform well. it's hard to pull off, you have to admit it. it takes a huge noob not to sense belly drum from a mile away. but again, that's all on you.

i use the same froslass. it poops on other scarfers all the time. thumbs up on that d(^o^)b

replace swampert for Gastrodon. believe it or not, but that thing can wall. with stockpile + recover, it instantly boosts its defenses and holds out for the team. there are other tanks in UU/BL that could easily take swampy's place like Walrein, but that's all i can think of right now =/.

the huge issue with your team right now is that you have only one physical sweeper, and it's not very reliable. i'd get rid of jumpluff for someone who can better support linoone, or replace linoone for something that deliver some immediate physical hits.

Yeah, sorry about that. I had to copypasta this through Word, and Word converted everything with an @ into a hyperlink. I was going to fix it, but forgot.

Well, it can hit Bronzong for normal effectiveness... and I have replaced Rock Smash with Substitute, thanks.

Ok, but remember, I'm going to change it to UU/BL play, so I can't even keep Cressy, Swampy, etc.

So are you suggesting an Uxie with Charge Beam/Thunderwave? Or are you suggesting a Cress with Charge Beam/Thunderwave?

Ok, so I should abandon the whole sleep idea? But then doesn't that make substitute redundant on Linoone?

i use the same froslass. it poops on other scarfers all the time. thumbs up on that d(^o^)b
Yes, I like my Froslass a lot, but does it work in UU/BL? I mean, things can't be as fast there as in OU, and does Wake Up Slap even have a use in that tier?

Good idea, I'll definitely try Gastrodon

Well, Swampert has 3/4 attacks physical, though I guess strictly speaking it's not a physical sweeper.

Basically, here are my main objectives: I need to draw out enemy steels and KO them, then I need to set up Linoone safely, and it's pretty much gg for the opponent. Magnezone does a good job of making sure Steels don't run away, especially because most steels lack Sp Def and die to Thunderbolt, but I can't use him in UU/BL...

you always have that thing that nosepass evolves into... ehh w/e it's name is XD. 75 base sp atk isn't... ehhem, that bad? o.O it'll help against UU/BL steels, but is way too threatened by OU powerhouses like metagross. it also has earth power. that's decent.

and yes, i would replace cress for uxie. what i was saying is if you're running that Calm Mind set, then you give it defensive evs with tbolt/psychic/etc. i just personally prefer thunderwave because it doesn't get OHKOd by anything and severely hurts sweepers as well as stallers with paralysis. that's why i prefer using charge beam for the Sp Atk boost rather using CM.

substitute is NEVER redundant o_O. the reason why it needs sub is to protect itself from status, damage, and things that will prevent it from using belly drum. belly drum on something so fragile is a HUGE responsibility and it needs the support. otherwise, you're completely putting your whole team at a disadvantage when your main physical sweeper is just dying. so i'm not saying that jumpluff doesn't FIT on the team. all i'm saying is that your team needs something else if you want it to work. that something else being support. something like Gallade can cause sleep and deliver hard hits, so that may be something to consider. there are several others like scizor/scyther who can subpass as well as give hard double STAB Aerial Aces. Mr Mime can induce sleep, set up a sub and pass it as well. drifblim has similar options but passes HUGE subs and covers weaknesses for your team quite well.

yeah, you're probably right about froslass. it's not as suitable in the UU/BL environment trying to cover weaknesses.you may want to give it thunderbolt instead of wake-up slap with modest nature, investing the atk into hp. you may also want to consider Taunt for wake-up slap. this way, you can prevent a lot of the annoying UU/BL tanks/walls like Meganium who seed and restore, or sweepers from setting up. taunt comes in handy in BL/UU a lot because a lot of lower tier pokemon depend on strange, psuedo-stall sets to remain useful. be sure to keep Shadow Ball, however. it's a vital typing in UU/BL.

    How's this for a steel-killer?

    Probopass @ Leftovers
    Magnet Pull
    Modest (252 HP/252 Sp Atk/6 Def)
    Earth Power
    Discharge/Thunderbolt
    Flash Cannon/Thunderwave/Stealth Rock
    Flash Cannon/Thunderwave/Stealth Rock

The problem is, most Steels that I need to kill (Steelix, Aggron most notably) will be running Earthquake, which causes problems because it 2HKOs Probopass. Probopass outspeeds Steelix (unless people put speed EVs into Steelix nowadays...), but not Aggron, and Aggron is actually more dangerous because it has higher Attack. So then I thought, why not use Magnet Rise? Oh, but then I lose Magnet Pull!

well that's where your sleep inducer/sub passer comes into play. probopass needs support too.

The in game description of magnet rise is wrong, it DOESNT change your ability, it just makes you immune to EQ.

    I usually run this.

    Probopass@Life Orb / Expert Belt / Leftovers
    Modest Nature
    Trait : Magnet Pull
    252 HP / 174 Sp.A / 84 Speed
    Magnet Rise
    Thunder /Thunderbolt
    Taunt
Earth power / Explosion / Hidden power Ice / Flash Cannon / Hidden power Fire (Does more to forry)

Last move really is up to what you prefer, all are useful

LOLs at most steels Taunt to Block skarms whirlwinds.

Magnezone does a better job at killing steels in all honesty though.

    Thanks for the response!

I'm not trying to be rude, but it seems like you didn't read my whole post. I'm using this in BL/UU, so Magnezone is not an option. Plus, he actually was originally on my team as a Skarm counter and to do all the other fun stuff Zone does. Since I am playing UU/BL, I have no Skarm to worry about. Basically the Steels I need to be able to get rid of are Aggron, Steelix, Registeel, and Bastiodon (and to a lesser extent, Empoleon. The other UU/BL steels, Mawile and Wormadam, can still be KOed by Linoone easily).

Ok, having found out about Magnet Rise, I feel much better about this.

    Probopass @ Leftovers
    Magnet Pull
    Modest (252 HP/252 Sp Atk/6 Def)
    Magnet Rise
    Thunderbolt/Discharge
    Earth Power
    Explosion/Flash Cannon/Thunderwave

As for EVs, I noticed that you put 84 Speed EVs. What, exactly, does that outspeed, and do I need to worry about it in BL/UU?

EDIT: Forgot to add that I considered Taunt, but then thought about what I would be taunting. Meganium was mentioned. Now, I could taunt Meganium, but wth else am I gonna do? I'd have to switch out then. I'll include Taunt on a different poke.
