Waxwings passing berries - the last has gotten a little more than his fair share!
So I've been playing a lot of melee lately and I just think that Marph is just the funniest thing riding that damn parasol (I miss the parasol so much D: ). So I made this little sidewalk (actually driveway) art to show how funny I think it is. It's quite a unique medium and it has definately some distinct advantages and disadvantages. This may be also the cheapest medium I've used thus far besides standart pencils just because the whole colour set was just $3 (although the black is actually tiny bits of black pastel mixed in, because the set lacked a black colour).
Here's the whole thing, it took me about 4 hours to complete. It's about 5 and a half feet tall and about four feet wide, so it's about life sized D: I got kinda messy on falcion lol
A closer look hehehe his expression is totally "wtf i look so stupid on this damn thing" heehehee. Also you can see mah shoes. lol
Here's an even closer picture, where you can see the coarse concrete I drew on. I need to be careful when blending the colours because I got a bunch of little cuts from the little rocks poking out of it D: It's surprising how well the chalk blends though, it's a bunch of little particles and its really easy to blend (but it blows away quickly and gets washed away easily too)
And here it is again in full to show the size of it and also the fact that it's actually on a driveway. lol
I did a Ho-oh too, but its photo is on my DSi and I'm loaning my SD card atm so I can't show it to you guize D:
Also, I finished my summer projects for AP art! Just in time too, school starts this Tuesday (yeah so late!). Here are these little cards I made for the class. I needed to make 9 and they all have to have a collective theme. It was either this or ripping apart an old book and making art out of that, and I can't say I'm quite fond of the latter. The idea with these is to make what I can out of three colours - White, Red and Black. I was surprised by how it came out hohoho. I think its funny how they all seem to have different personalities lol (Also geek gecko is awesome because he has triforce, but I need to clean rascal raccoon a bit lol)

### thing's so big it compromises scan quality. I still need to do some blending (which is surprisingly tiring) but other than that it's done.

Yesterday, I wrote a somehow controversial comic that made the counselors at my school think I went off the deep end. I don't get it, but here it is. (Spoiling it just to be safe)
001. Probably my biggest mistake was to mention an actual place. Oops. Oddly enough though they didn't make a note of that at all o.o ... or the fact that most of the time nobody is wearing any clothes
002. And somehow they don't get me on the guy throwing a knife at someone either...
003. Again, nobody notices the obvious lack of clothing
004. More lack of clothes. Although notice that the apparition doesn't have any genetalia. I thought that was the only way I could portray someone nude without making it in any way sexual
005. So this was the last page they got to see, and get this. What made them think that I was going over the edge was the quote "I have no identity, no friends, no life. I am in complete and utter despair. And you, only you, are the reason to why I'm like this." So did they forget that he was DEAD or something? How the heck is a dead guy talking about how miserable he is being dead supposed to advocate suicide? I don't get it.
006. I hate having my copics being practically dry.
007. Okay, I'm definately glad I didn't show this page to those dimwits. Seriously, if they saw this they'd have a total meltdown CAUSE THEY DON'T ### GET IT.
008. Quite possibly the best ending I've ever given to a story ever. haha

So this is a little postcard my friend Josh and I made for a family friend that lives out of the country (actually its for her grandchildren but we didn't label it yet). The idea was just to make something so ridiculously awesome that the kids would just marvel in its ridiculous awesomeness. You get the jiz.
This is the front. I think it's pretty obvious who did what on this one (our styles are so different XD) The text says "Detroit sees an amazing battle between a giant robot and a dinosaur!" (I'm not sure of the level of English the kids recieving it is so I kept it simple) THE ISLAND MUST BE BELLE ISLE IT MUST BE
This is the back. Obviously it had both of our emails on it but I'm obviously not going to give out my friend's email without permission (yeah it says Happy Holidays because they're literally going to recieve this in December. no kidding. I'll probably write a few other things, namely "To [...] from [..]").
I'm making another one, but this time for the grandmother herself. She's not like a super old grandma (actually she looks surprisingly young for her age). I think I'll send her one of my bird pictures. She seems to like nature lots so I think she'll like it.
