could not read the proyect

i´ve dowload the pokemon essential version 1.6.1 and when i try to launch the Game.rxproj in the rpg maker xp , the program shows me an advertation saying that ¨Could not read the proyect, incompatibility between versions¨. My rpg maker is cracked and i,ve already tryed with the newest version of pokemon essentials, even with one in spanish. Help D:

You should get Essentials v16.2 (assuming you meant v16.1, that is not the latest).
Open Game.rxproj in a text editor like Notepad and change the number that you'll see to 1.02.
Oh, and get a paid copy. It goes on sale quite often for like $5 on steam.
