Could plans for the 25th anniversary have already started?

So it's actually pretty close by, the 25th anniversary, due to take place next year. As you may recall, 2016 was the 20th anniversary, and some very major events took place across the franchise, including yearlong mythical distributions, a new generation, special merch, and GO. Other milestone anniversaries have been celebrated in this kind of manner, such as the 10th anniversary being celebrated through the anime, and a new generation, and RS being released to mark the 5th anniversary (although it was delayed).

With this being said, the 25th anniversary is set to come next year. Do you think plans have already started? What do you think will happen for this otherwise major event?

25 years is a big anniversary. I imagine they've got a rough idea of the events, celebrations, and stuff that'll take place, nothing too in place though. I'm expecting a big main series release as well, as they probably know what game to work on for 2021. I guess it just means even more Gen 1 pandering haha

Exactly. Don't hold your breath for something brand new and revolutionary, without ridiculous flaws and mindless errors. Probably a remake of another Gen with more new Kanto forms. Or a brand new game with MORE kanto forms.
