Couple Trade Questions

I have a couple quick questions.

1. What do we give pokemon for? Do we sell them just for fun or for money?
2. Can I use my action replay and give pokemon away?

I have read the rules but do not fully understand it. That's why I am asking these questions.

Well, you can only trade pokemon for pokemon, as per what the trading rules say.
It also says that hacked pokemon are forbidden to trade or give away, so, I wouldn't use an AR to trade pokemon.

Thank you for your help, But so... If I use poke modifier code, Which allows you to catch any pokemon by throwing away a masterball to their pokedex number, And it's normal, Not hacked as in stats or shiny (anything like that), I can't do that?

If you check out the rules on trading hacked Pokemon, you'll see that anything obtained via the Pokemon Modifier code, regardless of whether or not the stats/etc are hacked or not, isn't allowed to be traded. D:
