has any of you caught cresselia without using a Masterball so far i caught almost all legendary pokemon without using a masterball (Azelf with a normal pokeball)

all the other generation games i have not used a masterball, there must be a pokemon out there that cannot be caught without a masterball.

Cresselia is hard to catch i use mean look but she still cant be caught she gets me angry

us emean look bring lots of hyper potions turn it to night get alot of dusk balls use a couple then use ultraballs i used 10 dusk balls thn 2 ultra balls 2nd ultra ball i used to caught if that doesnt work well i hope you find another way to get her

cool that sounds alot easier i already got her to red but after my haunter feints she runs

can you get Cresselia without event items?

    Nevermind, i found out

Yes. after you get nat dex (i think) you talk to the sailor in canclave or whatever it is, the ship to iron island. He will tell you his son needs help, getting you to get the feather or sumthing, making cressila go loose.
And just to clarify things up:

Both mesprit and cresilla can be loose.
On the tracking app, they will both show as the same 'sprite' so you wont know who is who until you battle them.

I caught Cresselia without much problem, although it did take me a while. Its best if you let loose one of the Legendary at a time so it would be easier to track who's who. Put sleep/paralyze status on it before hacking its hp away down to red. Then just chuck your pokeball (or whatever ball) at it.

i had one masterball from diamond and one i imported from FR, so i just use them on mesprit and cresselia to save myself the trouble

I used Mean look on Cresselia with a Golbat I found and used a ton of ultra balls.

When I was getting Drifloon on Friday, I noticed Mesprit was in the area as well and it was an opportunity I couldn't pass on but wasn't prepared for it. I had to use my masterball.

I used my masterball on Mespirit, not knowing that there was another legendary that teleported (Cresselia). So I had to use Mean Look and then I used all my ultra balls, and then the 3rd great ball caught it.

I use regular pokeball, i had a Golbat mean looked her, and got her to red, man shes annoying, along with Mesprit. i used so many ultra-balls on it, it kiled my Golbat abunch of times and fleeing , i was at my last Ultra-ball and said to myself if this ball doesnt work, im just gonna kill her and restart, and would you know it i catch her! :D

    * i miss voted, i thou it said "do u use Masterball on legendaries"*

I use Dusk/Ultra balls on my legendaries. I caught Palkia, Azelf, Uxie and Mespirit on a huge stock of Ultra Balls. When you fight Cresselia, bring:

    30+ Ultra Balls/Dusk Balls

And, remember to stock up on Hyper Potions.

If I ever activate Cresselia, I'll do what I did for Mespirit... Umbreon, Mean Look, Baton Pass. Weaken it, throw balls. (I accidentally voted that I only use Master Balls, I thought the question was "do you use master balls to catch legendaries?"

ya that what i thou to, but it says "Do you catch legendarys without a masterball?"

Um for Cresselia I did the same thing that I did with mesprit I put a quick claw on bronzong and just kept waiting for the item to work so i could use block took a couple of tries for it to kick in. Then I just switched to garchomp and used false swipe to get her to minimal health. I then used dusk balls for about 4 turns then used timer balls.

I caught my Cresselia with a Master Ball, only because I had two others (from Ruby and FR). Same thing with Mesprit, only because I didn't feel like training a Wobbuffet.

I'm saving my master ball for Arceus, I caught all of mine in either Quick balls (got very luck in a lot of cases, first turns), Heatran with my first Ultra ball when quick ball failed, and Cresselia after a long while with using Gengar with mean look then hypnosis then false swipe with Scyther and it escaped then found it again and sleep failed and it ran away sleeping when I switched and stuff like that.
I got 4 master balls now (thanks lottery)

For me Cresselia was easy to catch.

For me it was Mesprit that got on my nerves, but I eventually cauught it.

I just used a Master Ball. I have plenty of them.

I caught Mesprit with a Master Ball in my first chance.
Cresselia was caught in my second Dusk Ball, after Crobat used Mean Look and weakened it with some Air Cutters.

I used a Master Ball, but i did catch Mesprit with an Ultra Ball and it's not so hard, you just need a little more of patience. If you really need a Master Ball for something is Arceus (assuming we'll get the event sometime)
