I know this is another topic people will think is pointless, but screw them. I'm not wasting their time.

So as you may or may not have noticed, the cries of some older Pokémon have been changed (Pikachu is the biggest example, and I noticed Weedle had a little more realistic sound). How do you like the new cries, and do you think that it's for the best? Or anything else you might want to comment on about the cries.

I'm not a fan, really. I would have preferred they just kept what they've had for years. I mean, I know it's the same cry, just updated, but still. They sound more annoying and high pitched now imo. Maybe that's just me though! And Pikachu's new cry is horrendously annoying. :( I don't get why it gets to say its name, but not the others. It made sense in Yellow, but idk why they did it for XY.

Most of the new pokemon have more realistic sounds(noivern sounds like an actual bat, furfrou a dog.) Some of the older ones got updated cries too (Charizard sounds alot different than it's original cry but now it sounds like an actual dragon.) and that makes it so interesting.

To me, they all just sound the same now, like Weedle and Zigzagoon both sound the same. Which is funny because all the newer cries seem pretty clear while the old ones are like screechier in quality.

I like em. It was starting to bug me hearing some of the first and second gen pokemon in comparison to the gen 5 pokemon which were starting to sound more natural. Like when the fifth gen pokemon goes "glub glub" and the first gen pokemon goes "CrchhhchChptch"...

I like the new cries, tho I'm not fond of Charizard's. Something about it I just dont like... I wonder if Pignite will still make that noise like it is farting for its cry xD
