Critical Hits. Do you find them to be more of a help or more of a hinderance? Personally, I find them to be both. Start posting!

Helpful when your Pokémon gets one against an enemy, not so helpful when the enemy gets one against you lol.

I used to hate on Red and Blue when a really weak move would get a critical hit and leave your Pokémon on 1hp, just for no reason whatsoever.

Helpful if they are in my favour (i.e. they happen to my opponent), hinderance if they are to my team or a pokémon I'm trying to catch.

Oh yeah, didn't think of that. They're also a hinderance if there's a Pokémon you're trying to catch and you get it down to about a third then out of nowhere Scratch gets a super mega uber-Critical hit and destroys the enemy. Much annoyance.

It really depends. If you're trying to catch a Pokémon and a critical hit just fainted it; one would probably be pissed, especially if it's a Legendary.

However, in battle, it's a blessing.

In competitive battling, it depends who takes the damage. If it is you, CHs suck. If it is the opponent, CHs are good.

In-game, IMO, critical hits are a waste of coding. I never rely on them to do anything.

Freakin' annoying. But sometimes useful. Of course, that's in Competitive.

In game, I ALWAYS, ALWAYS crit either on my last hit or inconveniently accidentally kill a legendary. Then I have to reset. And that makes me sad. =(

They're more of a pain than anything else. You can't count on them reliably in competitive battle, ingame the AI is haxed so they CH too often, and it seems I always CH a Pokemon I'm trying to capture (I had to reset the game twice because a CH knocked out Mesprit...)

With the exception of killing Pokémon I'm trying to catch, CHs have been more of a help than a nuisance to me. Except, it seems like half the time I get a CH in a trainer battle, the opponent's HP is so low that it would have fainted with a normal hit... Where was that CH two moves ago when I needed it? :/

Even so, I like Critical Hits. Sure, they're not really useful/reliable, but they help give battles that air of unpredictability that let them feel like battles between actual living creatures, instead of making battles an entirely rote formulaic process.

Well, to me, they're a little of both. At certain times they can be an extreme nuisance, and other times they are really helpful.

    It depends on the situation.

If you're catching a pokemon, and your pokemon's move is a critical hit and the pokemon you're trying to catch faints, that isn't good.
Also if your opponent's pokemon's move is a critical hit, and your pokemon faints, it isn't good.

But if your pokemon's move is a critical hit, and your opponent faints, that would be awesome. 8D

They're helpful, in my opinion, on ordinary battles...

But when it comes to weakening a hard-to-catch or legendary Pokemon and trying to capture it, and if the Pokemon fainted because of a critical hit, well, you're sorry... :)

P.S. = It happened to me a thousand times... And the worst one was trying to catch Lugia with a Pokeball... My Pikachu gave a critical Thunderbolt... LOL

    Support Pokemon Times! :)

I always get lucky in battles with my friends so my pokemon give out critical hits to my friends which is awesome and the bad thing is when my friend critical hits to my pokemon. lol xD

Not frequent enough to be of reliable or credible battle use, yet frequent enough to hinder the capture of Pokemon at times.
I've never liked or valued them.

It can be very helpful if it's in my favor, like my Pokemon having a critical hit against another.

But it is not helpful and a tad bit annoying when my opponent has a critical hit on my Pokemon, or if a move becomes critical and causes a Pokemon I want to catch to faint.

It all depends on the situation, really.

I like getting hit with Crits.
