~The ledge when you first enter
-I feel like it shouldnt be placed like that, maybe if it was on top, so you can go through a most no grass area and return (Main point of route 1 ledges, way to next has grass, way back has none.)

Pksv? it looks cool. will the game be ok if we use both pksv and xse?

Also i forgot this.. Should aragonite be on FR or LG. .Map files transfer to both roms so maps aint a problem.
 
It doesn't really matter. Both FR and LG run on the exact same engine to my knowledge. But I think we should use FR because, as already said, LG might have different offsets and programs may or may not be compatible. Then there's JPan's FR hacked engine......

Okay, so before I started Mapping for this Team, I had started another project, but since im lazy and can't be bothered learning another skill, I placed it on hiatus. countryemo, mind me bringing it here?

Working Title: PokeBall World (モンスターボール世界 monsutaabooru sekai was its original name until i decided to make it in English)

What goes on inside the humble PokeBall? Where do the creatures go when they warped into that small round ball?
Well we take a walk in their shoes, choose from either a female or male Pikachu and explore the PokeBall world.
Here, Pokemon catch humans and strive to become the best pokemon there is!

What do you guys think? that was just the teaser for it.

My only problem with it is that I need a skilled spriter to create and insert human sprites into the game. I can pretty much do most other things.

countryemo, you mind me joining my project with this Team?
Also, your probably going to hate me for this, but I've extended the second 'town' to 46x48. find it attached. I'll explain the tile errors later.

Skills: Mapping (In my opinion quite good :P)
Scripting (Am moderate I would say, cant do ASM tho)
Pokemon Sprite/OW inserter (also for sprite inserter I could change the replaced pokes stats to the correct ones)
Proof of work: Pokemon Johto Adventures, My upcoming hack

Comments: I saw this thread and I liked the look of the hacks and a remake of ruby sounds fun. Also I dont mean to offend but your recent maps look unatural and well... ugly, I dont mean to offend anyone its just my opinion. Also I m on PC daily.
 
I dont like it were getting inactive, wait thats probally my fault. :P

~Mapping: Approved, I also say no offense but. the others need to shape up a little..
~Scripting: Approved, cant have anough, yes you can. but N.H is meh at activity :P
Sprite Inserter+: Approved, you need one of these ya' know.
I fail at being a leader, who wants to be second in command to knock sense into me :D

Why dont you remake anymaps that've been posted(and if you want) to see what you can you (not Team Fails). Yes r/s/e is always fun :D

OK ill do them when Im back from school, I'll try to make then look more natural.
Also why dont you appoint people heads of a devision?
Like one for scripting and one for graphical so to stop the confusion, here an example:
you tell what to script and to insert if needed, Script head tells people what to script once done he talks to graphical head and send him the IPS/ROM then tells him what needs to be inserted so he tells his group and they insert.

Sorry if it is long but it was just an idea to keep the team going even if no-one posts on the thread
 
Yeah okay sorry for lack of activity. I need a green light to start on the story, plus it would be a bit easier if it worked in a way such as you give me an idea that you have, then I do some editing and then we have a story. Of course this would all be done privatly. Also we should go in canonliogical order, from beginning to end.

I second Co's motion, its a good idea, it would help keep the Team structured.

Sorry I didnt have a clean rom to work on, also im not very happy with it because I didnt really like the original map but Ive gone for a more natural type and less nintendo style

Wow, looks heaps better than what I had, Country, going to use Co's map instead?
