Does it matter? Anyway, while your question is valid, you probably should say something on the episode itself, as well, yeah? Heh. No worries.

I hadn't seen the episode, but this popped in my head when I first heard the synopsis. Given Zoey's wank about Ash double dipping into Contests way back when, how would she react if she knew Dawn's little foray here? Hmm.... It's just something to think about.

Yay for my DVR!!! I saw the episode!!!

As much as I found the idea of Dawn in a gym battle, it was pretty good. The battle was realistic since I think we all kinda knew that Dawn had no chance against Lucario. It was cool to see Dawn use Contest moves against Maylene but I kinda didn't really see it. I saw most of it in Aipoeim's battle but really nothing else.

Su? I wonder too. I mean it not like she has plans to do both but really I think that maybe she would have approved of this due to Dawn's current situation. I mean it was Zoey herself that told Dawn to take a break and I guess part of taking a break is also trying out new things right? Kinda like a vacation. Teeheehee

I guess everyone has a hot date for Saturday morning, or something. Heh.

Well, given her actions toward Nando after he proved himself at a Contest, I'm sure she wouldn't flip out too much about Dawn's Gym stint. After all, they're becoming friends, and her character isn't as harsh anymore. Of course, it wouldn't excuse her past behavior back in the day with Ash's first Sinnoh Contest attempt. Granted, at the time, she didn't know the kid, and I understood why. However, as she's starting to befriend the group, she really should apologize to him for that unnecessary negativity/idiocy.

Or had she apologize in an episode, and I missed it? Ah, character motivations, complicated but needed in life. Including fiction.

And that Lucario is a badass, yes.
 
Just got around to watching it. They kind of went overboard with the explosions like always. And I don't think Piplup really should have lasted that long :surprised:

Oddly enough, that would be fun to see her freak like that. Speaking of which, I wonder if Brock, an ex-Gym Leader, will ever tell her that he did a Contest, as well. And he almost won it, weren't for Ms. Deus Ex Machina and her Eevee. Heh.

Indeed, that penguin is strong. Lately, I've been thinking if it will evolve or not. Hmmm....

I wonder that too. Still I don't think so even if Brock tells Zoey since it doesn't seem like common fact that Brock was a Gym Leader. Only very experience or well knowledgable pokemon trainers like Roxanne would know Brock and his past history as a Gym Leader. Zoey, I don't think so.

Su. Everybody been saying Piplup is the new pikachu so I don't think it will evolve. I mean Dawn isn't treating Piplup like May did to her torchic since clearly Piplup is getting more attention then Torchic ever got before evolving.
 
I liked Dawn's gym battle, it makes a nice change of pace. Besides, it was probably a good idea to for her to gain some more battling experience before her next contest. After all, we do want her in the Grand Festival, don't we? :cheeky:

- How can Dawn forget Brock was a gym leader? She didn't even know! Or he's said about 50 times already, I can't remember

Who can say "you" for longest battle!!!
- Meditite's voice is horrible
- Oh I like this dub music
- OK, waking up through the Dawn battle
- What!? Dawn performs and battles in front of 100s of people and scared of gym?
- Just noticed Team Rocket have a laptop, cool. And they're supposed to be poor
- I smiled when the mvie 8 bgm came in

Dawn: I CHALLAENGE YOU!
Ash: Awesome! You challange a gym with a big loud voice
What...that is hilarious. Challenging gyms with abig loud voice. That is a so random Ash, hilarioud. I shall remember that forever. Challenging people with a loud voice...

Sorry for the millions of typos, I'm really tired. Better leave the next episode for tomorrow
 
Su, I forgot to mention this but Jorah reminded me. Did anybody catch the logo on that laptop? I know for sure it wasn't a pokeball but instead some kind of fruit. What was it?

Indeed, with Lola and Flint assuming the job, Brock's Gym Leader status has been essentially obscured. Yes, it would take someone studious like Roxanne to be aware of such facts. Zoey, I think she's smart enough, but would she care? She and Brock hardly interact, as it is. Thus, I know it's a non-starter, but her reaction would have interesting, anyway.

That's also true, Torchic was scenery, whereas, the penguin has been getting around. Then again, the writers have been known to surprise with Evolutions, and well, its final form appears awesome. I'll hold out for a while on that.

To Doublewide, based on what you said, why do I get the feeling that I'll be 30 before Dawn is allowed to partake in the Grand Festival? She's going at a really snail's pace, these days.

There is only one Computer company that uses fruit as a logo that I know of ;). But surely they wouldn't give free advertising to any computer company?
 
Well you know that sometimes animes would like to use things to parody off Apple like I remember in one anime they used a pear. I am sure the Rocket laptop used some sort of fruit logo on there too.

I thoguht Brock's little bro took the job as gym leader? Su? Still Zoey may be smart but really a lot of pokemon trainer could be consider smart too but never really gone, "OH! You are the Pewter City gym leader!" I mean that didn't even happen much during the first Kanto tour if I remember right.

SU!!! Charaxes will be 30 by the time we get done with Sinnoh!!! SU!!! OO!!!! That means I will be!!! SU!!!! SPEED IT UP WITH FINISHING SINNOH!!! SU!!! Teeheehee

As for the people in the Poke-universe unable to fire neurons and recall basic facts or faces, that's well known. Given how Ash failed to recognize the Rockets in the many obvious disguises, I'm wondering if there is something in the water.

30 might be a reach, but definitely 29 by the time Sinnoh is done. Not like they're in a hurry. Hah...

SU!!! Maybe that was it. The Oran berry made me think that. Maybe there is a company that is called Oran which is a parody of Apple. Teeheehee They make Oran Computer products. Teeheehee I mean doesn't Apple have boxes that are kinda like that but white and have the Apple logo. Teeheehee

Well the MacBook comes in White and black and the MacBook Pro has a silver Aluminum case. But that just looks more like they made some generic black laptop rather than making it look like any particular model.
