I was curious if someone could point me in the right direction. im trying to make terrain tags that have sound effects tied to them when the player walks on them. So things like grass, sand, sidewalk, etc. but ive never made my own terrain tags and im not sure the steps to do it properly. I tried looking on the wiki but it didn't seem to say much about creating your own. any help would be appreciated, thanks! :)

They're easy, but are a bit of work! But it it boils down to filling out the PBTerrain module correctly and filling in the proper methods defined in PFeild_Terrain. Animations and events that take place on said tag are defined throughout the PField subsection of your scripts.
