I installed Cutenews in my site (www.pokedrome.info) on the first of this month. Now almost a month is over and I am having absolutely no problem with it. Today, I archived my news and I saw a news item written on 1st Jan 1970. I am not able to delete it the usual way. I even went to the show_archives.php and data>>archives>>[number]news.arch but am not able to delete it. Is it some default news item. How do I delete it so that my archives can show 1st May - 31st May. To check it out, go here www.pokedrome.info/cutenews/show_archives.php

Also, I want to add a comments page to each of my news. Should I do anything extra in order to get it up?

1st Jan 1970 is Unix epoch time. It looks like somehow one of your news posts got corrupted and the timestamp was reset. You might have to go into FTP and edit the file by hand to remove the corrupted post.

Oh! I tried going into File Manager and opening the index, Show_archives.php , [number]news.arch and [number]comments.arch but I can't find the date anywhere.

I just tried this on mine and it worked, so it should with you.
Go to CuteNews > Options > Archives Manager
Then under action, click [edit] on the one that's wrong, and delete the post that says 1970.

If you can make a temporary admin account for me, and PM me the details, I'll go in and see what I can do.

[archive number]news.arch and go to the VERY bottom. You should find that date, then just delete that section.
