4th Gen D/P Monospecies Challenge

    I'm suprised I haven't seen this set up yet, actually.
    But yeah.
    This is the first challenge I've set up for others, so bear with me..

    Rules of the Challenge:
    - You can only use the species of pokémon you have chosen to fight battles
    - You can use up to three HM slaves
    - You can use a Maximum of three active pokémon of your species
    - You must be able to obtain your pokémon before you fight Gardenia without trading or AR
    Optional Rules [If your looking for an extra challenge, maybe some of these are for you]
    - You may not evolve your Pokémon
    - No use of Items in battle
    - You can only use one Pokémon of your species
    - No use of TM's
    - No Levelling past the level of the Gym Leader

    - Went to Lake Acuity
    - Got Piplup [Will be used as a HM Slave]
    - Got the Running shoes
    - Went to prof.rowan
    - Got my Pokedex
    - Went to Mom, got the parcel
    - Headed back up to sandgem
    - Got Pokéballs from Dawn
    - Caught a Male Shinx, Mild Natured [Lv.3]
    - Grinded Shinx to Lv.7
    - Headed up to Jubilife
    - Met Barry in the Trainer's School
    - Got the Town Map
    - Beat the trainers in the trainer school
    - Taught Shinx Hidden Power [Tm10]
    - Got the Pokétch
    - Headed out towards route 203
    - Fought Barry and Won

    Current Status - Shinx Lv.11

    Why aren't we allowed to trade over different Pokemon? Just out of interest...

    Also, can we tarde over a Pokemon egg from the list so that we can obtain them earlier than usual? i.e. Ponyta.

    You're not allowed to trade simply to eliminate the use of Any TM's on your other game or trading rare items over, that may make the challenge easier.

    And I can't allow the egg because of Egg moves

    I dont see why we cant evolve or use more than 3.
    Anyway, can i try Pachirisu?

    I feel that it adds to the challenge of the run.
    Anyway, There's a guy on youtube who beat the entire game with a single Starly, so this is certainly possible.

    And I know that most monospecies challenges allow you to evolve..
    I'll make that rule optional. But I personally won't evolve.

    Indeed.

    I'm sorry I doubted the godfish Magikarp.

    Unfortunately I'm unable to start a new game on Diamond at the moment, but after Platinum is released I will probably take up this challenge. I may in fact use Magikarp.

    UPDATE:

    - Beat all the trainers on route 203
    - Beat all the trainers in the Oreburgh Gate
    - Headed down into the Oreburgh Mines
    - Beat all the trainers in the Oreburgh Mines
    - Talked to Roark in the Oreburgh Mines
    - Fought all the Trainers in the Oreburgh Gym
    - Fought Roark
    [Wow, this was a hard battle; I'll outline the strategy I used below]

    - Headed back to Jubilife City
    - Fought the Galactic Grunts
