Diamond Monospecies Challenge; Yukio's Update #1:

Pokemon: Female Starly (Now Staraptor) - Nickname is Passion.
Level: 34
Nature: Adamant
Attacks: Aerial Ace, Double Team, Quick Attack, Close Combat
Play time: 4:41
Number of badges: 2

So, I started this challenge with Starly. I picked Piplup as my starter (Useful HM slave for Waterfall, Surf, etc), and took about 30 minutes to catch an Adamant female Starly. She was at level 3 when I caught her. Nickied her "Passion".

I dumped Piplup in the PC, and trained around Sandgem for a while. I battled everyone along the way to Jubilife City, then to Oreburgh City. Roark was actually tough to beat, considering I had a Staravia at the time. >____<

I used an X Def, had to max out Double Team, then use Wing Attack over and over. Healed like 2 times.

Then, I went onto Eterna City, through the forest and all, no problems there. My HM slaves so far are Piplup and Machop, both level 9. Piplup has Cut, and Machop has Rock Smash.

Gardenia was so easy, considering I had a flying type =p. Then I continued on and eventually got to Hearthome City, met Fantina, blah blah blah.

Now, I've just exited right of Hearthome and am in fighting the female rancher with 5 Bidoof right before Solecean Town :3

One note that I would like to make is that rock and steel Pokemon are so annoying. =/ Geodude, Onix, Cranidos and Bronzor are the only ones I had to deal with so far, but I guess that now I have Close Combat as a move, it won't be that big of a deal =]

More updates later!

Diamond Monospecies Challenge; Yukio's Update #2:

Pokemon: Female Staraptor - Nickname is Passion.
Level: 44
Nature: Adamant
Attacks: Aerial Ace, Return, Double Team, Close Combat
Play time: 6:20
Number of badges: 4

I hit Solaceon Town and continued right on. I defeated all the trainers on the way to Veilstone City. There, I defeated the gym leader, who specialized in fighting types. It was so easy; just Aerial Aced everyone in sight.

Then, I helped Lucas get his Pokedex back after a double battle with two Team Galatic Grunts. After that, I exited the city from south "house" and landed on Route 214, where I battled all the trainers and picked 4 berries.

I continued until I hit the lake, found the Suite Key for the lady, and healed my Staraptor in the house with the police man telling you that you have no reservations. I beat the two kids with tubes and got a footprint ribbon from the Footprint Man.

I entered Pastoria City, healed, and immediately challenged the gym. It was easy; I kept using Return and Aerial Ace. Crasher Wake's Gyrados went down after two Returns [due to Immediate], and his Floatzel went down after one. His last Pokemon, which I don't remember, went down in one hit.

I healed and exited Pastoria City to the left, where I am currently picking the berries.

Updates later!

I'm afraid I'm going to have to quit this challenge..

It's just that my Grandad has been admitted to hospital after having a heart attack, and they don't think he'll wake up. I'm just not in the frame of mind right now.

I'll stick around to keep the challenge going, however.

Pokemon Challenge!

I would like to have a go at using just Bunearys! thanks.

Unfortunately, fate is cruel. If he woke up he would be heavily brain damaged, and his heart is too weak. They've taken him off the ventilator. I've just been told he's about to go..
