4th Gen D/P Monotype Challenge!

And today's new Great Marsh Pokemon iiiiis... Skorupi. ;-; No Croagunk today. XD Guess I'll have to keep going back.

I used to try to catch pokemon there, but I gave up since it's so annoying. >_> I never liked the whole Safari Zone idea where you can throw food and rocks, and the pokemon that are good flee if you try to catch them and barely appear. D: At least since I'm just using normal pokemon I don't have to bother with the Marsh, lol.

Named Character Sam and Rival Grant.

Recieved a Piplup from Rowan

Caught a magikarp

Caught a psyduck (that I probably won't use...)

Beat Rival Grant. He's a noob!

Caught a Bidoof.

Got to oreburgh

Magikarp Evolved! (Huge training in the mine...)

Piplup Evolved

Bidoof Evolved.

Fought Roark. Who do you honestly think won?

Owned the Galactic Noobs.

Arrived in Floaroma town.

And that's it for now...

I don't think I'm doing half bad. The Mine's great for training.
 
Only three more hours until a new day on my DS clock. XD Get to go all the way back to Pastoria City to try my luck. Anyway, update!

- Went to Pastoria Gym and battled the trainers.
- Defeated Crasher Wake with few problems- when you don't have a Luxio around, it takes a little longer than usual.
- Healed and spoke to the Galactic Grunt by the Marsh, who ran off.
- Chased him and bumped into Noodle, managed to defeat him with ease.
- Followed the grunt to the lake, defeated him.
- Received the SecretPotion from Cynthia.
- Headed back to Pastoria and travelled west.
- Battled the first few trainers along Route 212 (correct me if I'm wrong XD)
- Eight evolved into Infernape!
- Battled the remaining trainers along the route, aside from the Security Guards (too early to battle them).
- Aste evolved into Medicham!
- Collected the items along the route, battling everyone I could.
- Wound up back in Hearthome City again.
- Healed and travelled straight up to where the Psyduck are.
- Cleared the path, found and fought the Ninja boys in the tall grass.
- Forgot to catch a Flying-type to use Defog with, so had to contend with the reduced accuracy on my way to Celestial Town.
- Finally managed to defeat everybody, arrived in Celestial Town to get rid of the Grunt.
- Received Surf from Cynthia's grandmother.
- Headed west to clear out the trainers between the town and Mt. Coronet.
- Went all the way back to Hearthome, as the gym was finally open.
- Battled the trainers, using Eight and Aste as Ahnold's attacks don't affect Ghosts. ;-;
- Battled with Fantina, earned my fifth badge.
- Trekked to the pier to the west of Jubilife, surfed to Canalave City.
- Fought the Fishermen, the Sailor and the Guitarist outside Canalave.
- Healed in Canalave, and then fought Noodle again- winning, of course. XD
- Saved and quit in the Pokémon Center.

well it doesnt matter you have until the 2nd gym to get yuor poke what type are you referring too and i surprised no one took steel yet anyone who has pearl can use this team

but since I have diamond and Im doing bug already i cant do it so somebody please take steel

PS if any body wants to I can make a plan for a team they can use if theyre unsure of there type

I was referring to using Poison Types and Going on with a team like this...
- Roserade
- Crobat
- Skuntank
- Toxicroak
- Gengar
- Dustox/Tentacruel

That was about the example, but that team wouldn't work since I would be playing on Pearl and not Diamond. I was also considering bug types with a team like this.

Drapion is not a bug pokemon. It only makes sense to be able to use pre-evolutions who aren't the designated type yet, as opposed to using post-evolutions that used to be that type but aren't. IE: Picking Piplup for steel, since it'll become Empoleon eventually.

It's like using Vaporeon for a normal monotype challenge because it used to be Eevee. >_>
 
Well, if you kept it as a Skorupi, then I'm sure that would be fine, but yeah, using that kind of excuse is sorta ridiculous.

I will take fire type as I am doing good one Question Chimchar is a fire type so can i keep him in my party ? (also I will also take Electric, Ground, and Flying type)

You can keep chimchar in since he is fire type, and you can only take one type of pokemon, not four. That's why it is called a mono type challenge.

I would recommend going electric or ground out of those types you chose. There aren't many fire types that you can use (Only Infernape and Rapidash)
