4th Gen D/P Monotype Challenge!

     Introduction

    You know, there is a serious lack of D/P challenges around here. I mean, a few have come up, but a rare few in this forum actually remain active (Kudos to the Scrabble Challenge, as you guys are doing fairly well with activeness), but the 3rd Generation ones are just so popular! Well, I feel a change is needed, does anyone else? Well, I don't care if you do! So, let's start a new challenger here shall we?

    Rules
    1. This is NOT a race.
    2. Obvious rule: Use only your type.
    3. With Dual Type Pokemon, if it becomes your type, you can use it. For example, you can start of with Chimchar if you want to use a Fighting type team.
    4. No hacking/glitching WHATSOEVER!
    5. Legends are prohibited.
    6. As many people per type as you want :)
    7. You are allowed as many HM slaves as you want. Of course, the lesser the better, as you want all the slots your team can have. You are not allowed to level up your HM slaves.
    8. You can catch Pokemon for your Pokedex, but no leveling of them is allowed.
    9. Updates are REQUIRED. An update after every 3 gyms is the maximum amount of time you are allowed.
    10. You may use your starter Pokemon until you catch the first Pokemon of your type, then you are required to deposit it in the PC or you can use it as an HM Slave.
    11. A few types aren't recommended: Ice and Dragon. If you do want to use one of these types, you are required to trade ONE Pokemon of your type over at the earliest point possible (Ghost and Dark aren't on this list as you can catch Misdreavus (Sp?) and Murkrow in Eterna Forest).
    12. If you are able to obtain your type early on, no trading is permitted (Except for trade evolutions).
    13. You must gain your first type before the Eterna Gym battle.
    14. YOU CAN START WITHOUT MY APPROVAL!! The is no limit on types, therefore GO AHEAD.

    And is there any limit on traded pokémon?
    My final team will be Staraptor, Crobat, Skarmory, Altaria and Drifblim..
    I'll start as soon as possible :).

    P.S. I could attempt some userbars when I get the time. Probably won't be until around friday, though.

    This is really confusing, What do we exactally do?

    Anyways sign me up as Normal Type but explain actually what we do.

    Oh well, seems like I'll only be using four pokémon..
    So my final team will be:
    Staraptor, Crobat, Pelliper/Gyrados, Drifblim

    And my first update
    - Began a new game
    - Picked female trainer sprite, name: Skye
    - Named rival n00b.
    - Went to lake verity, obtained Piplup [Hm Slave]
    - Went back home
    - Went to sandgem, obtained pokédex
    - Brought some pokéballs (5)
    - Headed back to mom
    - Headed back to sandgem
    - Watched the lame pokémon capturing tutorial
    - Got (5) Pokéballs.
    - Caught a Lv.4 (F) Starly (Night), Nicknamed Stark.
    I'm levelling as we speak..

    It is just for fun. You are supposed to complete the game as normally, but for fun you are limited to one type. Dual Types are allowed though (Like Starly can be used for both Normal and Flying). And you are added on
     
    Another quick update before I go to sleep
    - Levelled Starly up to lv.7
    - Headed north of sandgem
    - Beat all the trainers on route 202
    - Encountered Lucas, who is a noob and told me I should carry more pokémon [screw him]
    - Headed north of Jubilife
    - Caught Lv.4 (M) Zubat (Night), Nicknamed Taboo
     
    I'll take grass, please. I'll start once I beat my current game.
     
    Oh! Let me trade everything off of my Pearl and I'll do this. I just finished a Mono Pokemon challenge, (Pearl w/Chikorita) So I'm really in the mood for this kind of thing. I think I will play with Ice.

    Now what will I start with...

    EDIT:Forget Ice, I'll use Electric.

    Hmmm, I've never done this sort of thing before, and I've been looking for a challenge since I finished my 3rd Gen solo runs. Mind if I take Fighting? :3

    (Excuse mah newbie-ness to these forums, I usually just play the hacks. XD)
     
    Awesome, I'm going to transfer my Lopunny and Misdreavus off of my Pearl to my Platinum and then get started. ^^
     
    All right. Quick question before I start. Can I get an eevee and a tangela on my game? I transfer them both as eggs, so they technically will be my original pokemon.
     
    My Team will be Luxray(Blues), Pachirisu(Rock), and Pikachu/Raichu(Enker).

    I'll be using the female trainer(Named Hikari) and My rival will be named Jun. I've just restarted and will be picking Piplup, so that my rival gets Turtwig.(That way I'll be at the disadvantage.)
     
    *sigh* I'll try to get my first update up as soon as possible. I really don't want a Turtwig since I already have a high-leveled Torterra, so I'll probably just stick with Budew
     
    Let me update while I get my nerves back..

    - Went to trainers school, using the ol' bait n' switch tactic to level up taboo
    - Obtained TM10 Hidden Power
    - Taught Taboo Hidden Power
    - Grinded Taboo to Lv.7
    - Fought Rival n00b and won
    - Headed to oreburgh, and beat the trainers along the way
    - Headed down to the oreburgh mines, and grinded Taboo to Lv.13
    - Fought all the trainers in the mines
    - Stark Evolved into Staravia
    - Headed to oreburgh gym
    - Fought the Gym Trainers
    - Fought Roark and won (I love you Taboo..)
