Rain fell gently at the ground, much to her liking, as she ambled towards the mansion. She giggled happily as she allowed the rain to soak her hand. As she got closer to the mansion, she glanced at the drenched paper and read it once more.
Greetings, friend!
You are invited to a winter ball to be held on the 25th of this fine month. Please come in formal masquerade attire at the Shaidennen Winter Palace. Do try to attend; this is an event many would die to be invited to.
Sincerely,
Nikolai Baldwin
Clutching the invitation, the girl sighed. The one day she visits home, she was forced to come to a rather uncanny and suspicious ball. Going to the ball wasn't that horrible, but wearing the dress was.
After a series of eye rolling-s, she adjusted her cloak, putting on her hood. She was still playing with the rain, the one thing she was enjoying right now, as she hesitantly made her way to the foyer of the colossal mansion. She pouted slightly as she entered. Everyone was already seated, finally informing that she was late; she can be rather dense at time.
Abruptly, her eyes glimmered as she was marveling the delightful beauty of the room. She searched for an empty seat and found one near two elven ladies and a female centaur. She quickly took a seat, a tad embarrassed, and took of her hood. Her cheeks were pink from the cold wind that was blowing not too long ago and she was shivering vaguely.
