Anime/Manga Danganronpa despair Arc disappointed?

    I know Danganronpa Despair arc aired some time ago now but I really want to know if I'm the only one disappointed with it.
    I mean, it had so much potencial... I was hoping to see Enoshima Junko exploiting their weaknesses... For example, Ibuki had a difficult childhood... She almost died and ended up in a illegal fishing boat. And I won't even get started on Nagito Komaeda.
    However they decided to make them go Super High School Level Despair by watching a video and killing her friend. Yeah... It was despair inducing and the video was made by Mitarai but come on...

    So yeah... My hope was destroyed by that arc (danganronpa pun attempt >.>) and I wanted to know your opinion about it :)
     
    Trust me, you definitely aren't the only one. The Reddit community is pretty much in agreement that Despair arc was handled extremely poorly.

    Indeed, but it's good to know that! I don't go to Reddit but now you got me curious. I think I'll check it out.
     
    It was very disappointing in terms of everything, and didn't it basically retcon what SDR2 stated on the recruitment of the SHSL Despairs?
