James looked down on his Poochyena. It was shacking violently, and bleeding from its forehead. James took out a potion. He pulled the rock out and quickly sprayed the entire bottle on his pokemon. The cut shrank in size, and finally Poochyena's body was able to scab it over. He looked up at James, and started to lick his hand. James recalled him. 'That could have been worse, but it should have been a lot better.'
James slowly continued down the path with his Houndour at his side now. A small rustling in the bush grabbed his attention. James turned and only saw some flowers hanging out of a bush. James turned back around and kept walking. Houndour had stopped and waited for James to catch up. Another rustle came from behind him. James turned again to see a Roselia.
Houndour had started howling, and was gearing up for a battle. It seemed the Roselia had started using growth. 'Don't want to be between these two when they go at it.' James jumped to the side just as a ball of fire flew past him. 'Fired on by my own team. Even the Roselia waited.' James glared at Houndour, but it was no use. Houndour and the Roselia had started to lob attacks across the field.
Roselia was hit by one of Houndour's fireballs. It stumbled back, and Houndour looked up at James looking for a "good job" smile. It got nothing but a harsh glare from James. "Use physical attacks!" Houndour turned back to Roselia. The flower was clearly mad no. To heal its self, it hit Houndour with absorb. Houndour got what James was saying now.
James stood and watched as the Roselia took a lot out of Houndour with all those growths boosting the absorb. Houndour finally shook it off, and charged in. Half was through its run his muzzle ignited. One of the Roselia's "hands" turned a pink color. 'Houndour should still do more damage, and make it out fine.' James watched the impending impact.
Houndour bite Roselia right in the center of its mass. Roselia had caught Houndour in the side with poison sting. Houndour struggled to stay up, the absorb weakening him. The Roselia, however, was already on the ground. It started to struggle, and try to get up. James lobbed a pokeball at it, and walked over to Houndour. "Never attack when I'm in the way again."
